I am quiet a person so speaking about myself does not come naturally. my friends would describe me as a kind, gentle person that likes to give more than receive. I enjoy the company of others but I am equally comfortable at home alone tinkering in my garage. I have high-school aged children that are with me every other week so I have a built in balance of alone time!
My children have been the focus of my attention for the past few years but as we mature as a family I find that they need their dear old dad less and less. It is time to share my free time with a new acquaintance and hopefully start to build new memories. I have no expectations at this point but am only looking to find a friend to share some good times.
I would prefer to find a friend with a family situation similar to mine. As I am not an 'empty nester' like many people my age it is important to me to be in a relationship with someone that understands and accepts my role as a parent of teen-aged children. That does not mean that I cannot have a social life. It only means that my life is not typical for someone my age. The good news in that is that I am very young at heart!
Some of my free time is spent wandering the countryside on my motorcycle. I would love to meet someone with a motorcycle to ride with occasionally.
