When I tell people I am taking engineering at the UofA, and was once trying to get into medical school, I think they get the impression I sit at home and study all the time. However, I think I change they're mind when I tell them all the countries I've traveled and all the crazy things I've tried. For example, I once went on a two week trip to Ecuador in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest as a volunteer.
I pride myself in doing my best at everything I do, whether it is school or work or my hobbies. Sometimes I think there aren't enough hours in the day. I've been told that I am a very busy guy, but I can make time for the right girl with whom I want to spend time. I'm also extremely Polish. Although I wasn't born in Poland, both of my parents are Polish. Having a strong Polish community here in Edmonton also means that many of my friends are Polish and that I go to many Polish events.
The right girl for me is someone whom I can talk to about anything and connect with on an intellectual level. That is not to say I don't like talking about nothing, sharing funny stories, or just listening when you just need to vent a little about what's going on in your life. She also needs to be adventurous and try new things.
I can tell you right my idea of a perfect date is not going to the club and drinking or just sitting in a movie theater. Rather, my idea of a perfect date is one where we can both just enjoy each others company and not even think about checking our cellphones.

By trade I'm an industrial designer and my passions lie in extreme sports and audio/video design. I ran a small longboard company for a few years building decks, now I build systems to control people's homes from their iPhones. (Seriously!) I'm a very hands on person, so I like keeping an active role in the building process all the way through from design to construction. It's really rewarding seeing a project go from sketches to completion.

I'm a pretty outdoorsy guy and have been spending as much time as I can in the mountains. During the winter I ski as much as possible and in summer I enjoy downhill and bmx. Anything on a bike really. A nice lazy pathway cruise after work is a great way to relax. I used to do a lot of canoe and hiking trips, and would love to meet someone I could go on those kinds of adventures with.
