I know that not having a picture is probably an immediate red flag, but I am often told that I am handsome with blue/green eyes that get alot of attention and full, dark curly hair. I am a bit shy about putting my photo out there for unrestricted public consumption (I recently had an awful identity fraud experience), but I would be happy to send a recent photo of myself upon request.
Now, a brief description of who I am. I have spent a long time focussing on my professional life to get to a place where I can stop and smell the roses. Now I would like to share my life experience with someone very special. I know who I am, and what I want. I have had some adversity in my life with losing important people too early, but that has simply made me stronger, more generous and more sensitive to others' needs. I like where I am and who I have become.
My life is wonderful and fulfilling, and I strongly believe that when you are independent and complete, there is a high theshold for finding the right person to make your life better. From both my experience and my perception of others, I believe that if your romantic experience is not enhancing your life, it is invariably detracting from it.
I am incredibly devoted to the people in my life that I treasure. I express myself and experience my greatest pleasure through music, both listening and playing. I play guitar and sing, and I travel to music festivals as often as I can.
Physical attraction is essential to me, but I also need to be mentally challenged by my partner. A sense of humour (I have my mother's Irish wit), and an appreciation of music and outdoor activities would all be wonderful to have in common.
I am hoping to attract a person who can appreciate all that I have to offer, someone who gets me and who I truly get in return. Someone whose flaws I even find endearing, as she does mine.
I try to excercise every day. I love to surf, bike and golf in the summer and cross country ski and snow board in the winter. I'm a voracious reader tending towards the Sunday New York Times (religiously every week), history and philosophy, and big, complex, character driven novels. I am currently reading John Irving's latest novel. As my work commitments have become much more flexible, I travel as often as possible for pleasure. If the person I meet can't quite be so time-flexible when it comes to her work commitments, weekend get aways are just as good.

I am a lawyer by education and profession but currently I am off work due to recent health concerns. Last year I developed a serious heart condition that ultimately required me to undergo heart transplant surgery just before last Christmas. Happily I can report that my recovery is going extremely well and I am ready to get back into the workforce.
