Date men and women from Canada / Alberta / Beaumont, 44 year old

Date people from Beaumont, Canada. Hello there!
Ok, so I am a guy ... with a career. Oh, and my own place .. which I heard might be a good thing.
Actually I have a great career, which I love. I like to learn new things and tech is good for that. My job has evolved over the years and is more about people. I wear a tie at work, jeans and t-shirts when not. You should have a stable job also, or in school towards a career.
Alternative and rock music are great, current dance, and a little of most other music. As long as you don't subject me to songs that are non-english with notes that sound like nails scratching then I should be fine.
Camping is a fun getaway; the mountains, forests and waterfalls are relaxing and peaceful. Yah, ok so I am a little spoiled and the tent has been replaced with a trailer, which is still camping imho..just not roughing it! I love to travel; I have not made it off of this continent yet. Pubs are good places to meet for a drink or chat with friends.
I can be romantic, not afraid to touch or hold hands. I give great massages...um, not on the first date of course. You are sweet, nice, and attractive. Not a web dating lifer. You can be comfortable with a night at home or a night out. Ultimately I hope to find that one great girl but I am also happy to make friends along the way.
I have a daughter who is a real sweetie, she lives with me every 2nd weekend. You must love kids...don't worry, she has a mom already.
A good sense of humor is another must, or at least you need to be able to put up some teasing :) I can be sarcastic in a fun way, not mean. Somehow this trait led to my nickname...though not sure why. Oh, and I live in Beaumont, 5 minutes South of Edmonton.
Don't be shy, I would love to hear from you.

Meet a soulmate from Beaumont, Canada. I have 2 fantastic sons who alternate between making me laugh and driving me crazy. They live with me most of the time.
I'm always aware that I won the Life Lotto - great parents (still alive and still together), great sisters, fantastic friends - the whole she-bang.
I don't take a lot for granted, and I'm very content with simple pleasures. Separated for 2 years, and almost divorced, this is a very exciting time. Google, the world's greatest achievement (although penicillin and electricity should probably get special mention), is my favorite "hobby". I'm kinda curious about most things, and how great is it that we have all the answers at our fingertips....surely spending 3 hours on Scientology isn't a total waste of time - right? (P.S. What are those people THINKING??!)
I'm looking for someone who is similarly curious about life. If you care about your health, that's a bonus.... I'm no marathon runner, but I have a longrunning date with my treadmill, Bob, although I occasionally stand him up. I also take the odd dose of fish oil. That's my regime in a nutshell. I like to think I care about what I eat (somewhat organic), but cake and all cake related products are a definite weak spot.
I prefer driving to flying, vodka to rye, dogs to cats, grass to snow, water to pop, and Hangover 1 to Hangover 2 (okay, that's a lie, I haven't seen 2 yet, but it's getting bad reviews). Update: I've now seen Hangover 2, and the critics were right.
I'm looking primarily for friendship, but would be open to more with the right person. I like to live a balanced life - kids, friends, family, alone time, work - but there does seem to be room lately for something else!
