I enjoy healthy cooking, working out, spending time with my friends and family, challenging myself physically and mentally, reading, eating out, concerts and relaxing at home (just to name a few). I love running, hockey, dogs, achieving new limits, a cold glass of water, spring sunshine, laughter, cold beer on a patio, a long walk and a competitive game of catchphrase with friends.
I'm more of a backyard bbq, firepit, pub patio kind of girl. Not into the bar scene anymore. I enjoy spending time with friends in Calgary, hitting up a pub, karaoke or the casino for some blackjack.
I've started to appreciate the simple things in life and it feels great to look around and be happy with who you are and what you have. However, that doesn't mean that I wouldn't enjoy a few more challenges and new experiences. At this point in my life I enjoy travelling regularly and love to read and plan for my next trip. There are so many beautiful and exciting places to go and explore so I'm hoping that the guy I meet will also have that drive and desire to travel.
Right now I'm looking to meet some new people, date and have some fun. But ultimately I hope to find a relationship and meet someone special. It's difficult to pinpoint characteristics of my "ultimate man" but I do know that humor, maturity, independence and passion are all important to me. I appreciate men that are even tempered, tolerant and down to earth. They are willing to communicate openly and work on the relationship as issues arise. I believe that the right couple will bring out the best in eachother, they will push each other to grow and be each others constant cheerleaders. ** Just because I have a son, does not mean that I am ready to "settle down" in the sense that I am going to stay in every night with the t.v. and never travel again. Its sort of the opposite, I want to show him to experience as much as I possibly can. We have already been on a few adventures to date and plan on many more. He has his own passport and has flown to 2 ilsands in Hawaii, and to L.A. so far. In Hawaii, he went swimming , playing in the sand , whale watching, and we even did an 8 mile hike around part of a volcano ( lol okay he was on my back) We have been on road trips to Waterton national park,Oregon,Washington, Montana, B.C and all around Alberta. Things do have to be modified so that he enjoys it too, but its doable. But on the other end of the spectrum, I am not going to leave him with a babysitter every weekend so that I can go party. In fact I haven't left him with one yet.
