I suppose we should start by what I like in a girl.
The biggest thing, is a will to do things. It's rather annoying to have a girl that simply thinks the dude should come up with every idea of what to do, and that the dude should always make the first move. Ladies, if your the type of lady that calls up a dude and says "Hey I'm bored, lets go do something crazy/stupid/fun" and the type that dosent mind making the first move, then you are "my type"
In addition, the ability to hold a conversation about a wide range of topics, a taste for beer, a solid job, the willingness to cuddle, and a love of music are good things to have.
As for myself, I'm told I am a textbook hopeless romantic. I think nothing of buying flowers for a girl just to brighten her day. In truth, I'm mainly concerned with your feelings. I'll go out of my way to make you feel good, and I dont have a good time unless you having one. As far as vices, if you have a problem with booze and smokes, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. I think its time to update my profile as it has been awhile, and clearly what I had before was attracting the wrong kind of attention. Yet nearly anything I write here you could potentially find anywhere else, nearly all humans have very similar traits with small quirks.
Such as, I have a huge heart but the quirk in that would be that I am one of the few that can keep myself emotionally detached if I feel it necessary. I love the out doors- camping, hiking, horse back riding, rock climbing, really anything I can do in the sun I'm up for, yet, even with all the time I spend in the mountains I'm scared of squirrles and birds. I can hang out in a garage get greasy and disgusting underneath the car, and go out right afterwards not caring about the black slime smeared across myself, in that same light though, I do like to get dressed up, and I do take very good care of myself.
I cook, I clean, I read, I write, I sing terribly, I know how to laugh, I know how to be serious, I love to dance, I run daily, I had a different up bringing which effects the way I carry myself; and I carry myself very, very well. I care about my family and my friends more than anything in the world, I have two amazing children who I now have full custody over, basically if you have a problem with that, thanks for coming out, but leave. I don't do any drugs, I have had relapse with smoking but my new quit date is coming up soon, and I do drink from time to time but never enough to be wasted. I love watching a good hockey or football game, but in that same breath I would rather be playing than watching. I drink a lot of coffee, it's my weakness. I love to indulge in conversation. I push myself, too hard sometimes, and I'm a bit stubborn.
In a partner I suppose I'm looking for my balance, someone who can even me out a little bit. He would have to be a go getter, very career driven, very ambitious in his personal aspirations. He has to be able to push me mentally and physically, teach me, show me, and inspire me. Someone who has enough energy to keep up with me, someone who will be honest about absolutely everything. A man who enjoys cooking and wouldn't mind having a helping hand in the kitchen. Humor is important, he needs to be able to make me laugh, and will laugh with me when it comes to how clumsy I am. I need someone who can just get a grip on me and tell me to slow down, take a breather, and remind me that life isn't about doing as much as you humanly can in a day, but to rather enjoy the day itself.
