I'm originally from Calgary, but recently moved back after being away for over a decade, due to school and work, and Calgary isn't bad.
It's true, happiness comes more from who you're with than what you're doing...having said that what I do like to do is play sports, listen to music, read, and socialize at bars/pubs/backyard bbq's/house parties, and play card and board games. I'm a somewhat sporty person, who also likes the arts and is professionally ambitious. I like to learn about anything, science, business, tech, whatever. I'm also funny: 9 out of 10 friends say so, and the other one isn't a friend anymore ;)
I've been to Australia, and lived in Europe, the USA, and different parts of Canada and next I'd like to go somewhere warm and exotic where I can also try scuba and learn to stand up on a surf board for more than a minute. Besides surfing, I'd also like to learn guitar, but my fingers seem to be dumb.
So if you're a surf pro, who can teach me guitar please feel free to drop me a line. Even if you're not I'd like to hear from you :)

Born and raised in England. Moved here in 1997. Went back to England to do my masters degree and ended up back here again. Just moved back to Calgary after living in Canmore for 2 years.
Love the outdoors and don't need much of a reason to get outside. Whether it be climbing or skiing, i'm ready to go at a drop of pin. But thats not to say that i don't like sitting on my couch, drinking tea and reading a good book. My passion is rockclimbing as can be seen. Love to climb so most of my weekends are spent clinging for dear life on a rock.
I have been actively involved in the world of spinal cord injuries and have been now for the past 10 years. Completed my research in Spinal Cord and have also started a little programme at Mount Royal for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Been fortunate enough to travel around the world as well watching the paralympics and helping out there. This is a topic i can just go on about so i'll refrain for now.

Meet a soulmate from Canada. OK. I have my BA degree in drama but landing a professional gig is kind of tough so mostly I do community theatre. I work in the restaurant biz to support my acting problem but am looking at a career as an electrician. I enjoy playing tennis, but don't get out as much as I'd like to so if you play tennis that's a bonus. I like going to the movies, reading, and going for walks/runs. I enjoy music, frequent concerts and play classical guitar. One day (or two) I'dlike to go out and busk. ( Is that enough characters?)

Let's see, my biggest two interests are sports (playing and watching) and computers, with computer programming being my career. That's right, I'm in what many would consider to be a fairly mind numbing profession, but I love the challenges it presents and I occasionally like to think I'm good at it. This probably stems from the video games (does this make me a geek, or a nerd?). I am also taking courses to upgrade my education, which either means I'm a glutton for punishment or like learning new things...or both.
Of course this doesn't mean I spend my whole life in front of a computer (although I am hoping to gain super powers from the soothing glow of an LCD screen). I play slow-pitch, floor hockey, and curling regularly (is that a sport?), hit the gym a few times a week, and also like to get out skiing, hiking, golfing, and rollerblading. I'm sure there is more I missed, but we can save that for later.
Hmmmmm....travel seems to be on everyone's list (are you sure people don't just cut and paste profiles?). I have done a bit, and think a tour of Europe and the UK would be cool (been to the UK once, wouldn't mind a better tour). Hawaii was pretty good too; the surfing hurt though (hurray for unknown muscles!).
I consider myself an easy-going person. I also tend to be direct with people, speaking what I think and meaning what I say... probably what gets me into trouble at work ...hehe. Don't hesitate to mail me; I'll try to get back to you when possible.
