Date someone special from Canada. The big 5-oh has come and gone but I don't think of myself as anywhere near this chronological number. OK, the mirror says different, but what does it know... Besides I've been trying to fool it for the last few months as every time I stand in front of it, there is a little less of me. I decided to tackle my extra weight (lovingly added over the last 15 years) and have whittled away almost 30 lbs. Primarily diet and exercise. I'm addicted to my Klein!
Need to get some new photos uploaded...
I like listening to Buddy Guy, Robert Michaels, Joshua Redman and classical music; have my musical tastes matured, or am I old? Hey, I'll throw a Beatles, or Stones, or Aerosmith on the CD player as well. Forget hip hop and rap.My match is someone who is physically active (hiking, cycling), but also enjoys a movie night or dinner out. She understands that at this point in life, I do things the way I've always done them, but with patience, understanding, coaxing, and coaching, maybe I'll change (Red Green has a "man's prayer" that goes: I'm a man...But I can Change...If I have to...I guess).

Date a soulmate from Alberta, Canada. Have been in Calgary for 8 years from the UK,looking to meet new friends & see what happens! I spend quite a lot of time working, at my job as a Photographer, it really isn't like work at all, so I am very lucky in the respect. However running a business is never easy & keeping enough work in the studio to keep myself & my assistant busy is a real challange. However most of my work is on location for Commercial Real estate clients, we do a lot of aerial photography for them, which is great fun. Well handing out of an aircraft at about 1000ft of the ground may not seem like fun to some but I do actually enjoy it, its a challange as well to get the correct shot for the client!Back on the ground we do interiors & exteriors for a number of clients, a few portraits in the studio but could be doing a lot more studio work so 2004 challange is to find a couple of ad agancies to hopefully supply some commercial work for the studio, product shots etc. Being in Calgary we have a couple of Oil patch clients as well but they haven't been very busy the last few months but we have some work booked in for Jan so its a good start for 2004, lets hope it continues!!

Meet a man from Alberta, Canada. I enjoy being with my friends dancing and having a good time. I am quite responsible and hard working. I am a bit of a workaholic but really like to get on the motor cycle and ride the mountains and roads around Alberta, seeing the smaller towns and enjoying the countryside. I was married for 25 years and have three fabulous children all grown up now. The oldest works in the retail market and has a great man. The second is my oldest son who works in the housing trade as a framer, and the third is my son who works in the construction trade as a metal clad installer in Fort Mac. Both boys love cars and are customizing them. I have a Kawasaki 1500 cc Vulcan Classic touring bike and love to travel. I long for the day I can travel to Cuba or any tropical paradise with someone who enjoys the same things
I would love to meet a woman who likes to ride a motor cycle and or has her own bike. Loves to travel and see the world, as well as Alberta, and Canada.

. My work has taken me to more than 100 countries around the world. I have lived, for long periods of time, in eight culturally and linguistically diverse countries from very rich Sweden to very poor Albania, and in the process learned six languages. Because of this economic disparity that I observed, early on in my life, I was pre-occupied with the question as to why some countries/cultures had become more advanced in terms of education, technology, living standards and civil society. I found the initial seeds of the answer to this question in a book named "The Florentine Renaissance" by Vincent Cronnin that I read while studying at the University of London. Since that time I have accumulated a considerable body of knowledge on this subject. For a thousand years since the fall of Rome, men and women had turned over responsibility for their moral lives to surrogates of God on earth: the pope at Rome, his bishops and their parish priests or ministers. They had done this for very good reasons, primarily because they were convinced that if they did they would win salvation and eternal bliss. However, men and women of the European Renaissance had a very different idea after they had rediscovered the classical civilization. The man is the measure of all things, said Protagoras twenty-five centuries ago. The new self-centeredness had other effects. The connection between Protestantism and the rise of capitalism seems to be especially close. The discipline that a man must exert once he has cast himself adrift from the support of an international church may be akin to the self-reliance needed for success in a capitalist economy. It may also be the character trait that makes good citizens in a democratic society. We moderns inherited their decision and, with a very few exceptions, have adhered to this belief. As Oscar Wilde said: "A woman without a past is like a man without a future." I am extremely fit, but my main strength lies in my intellectual fairness and originality. Your age does not matter but your intellectual strength, physical fitness and healthy lifestyle matter. I am both physically and emotionally a warm person, that special kind of person who is tolerant, open minded and capable to forgive himself and others for being human. I am attracted to women who have a warm smile, are content with themselves, have an interest in arts, passionate, well informed, smart and lead a healthy life style. I have been running my business for the past ten years that has enabled me to visit many places on every continent except Antarctica. Especially, my time spent in the Arctic has made me aware of loneliness and fragility of Spaceship Earth. All the oceans of earth are connected and constitute a single ecosystem. The air above our heads is also a single ecosystem. Every air conditioner and refrigerator on earth releases gases that eat away at the ozone layer, high above our heads, which protects us from deadly solar rays. I am a very sensual and affectionate person, good listener, well-read, well-traveled but very grounded who makes physical fitness a priority but I am not a fitness fanatic. I have run my daily 10 miles (16 km) in extreme temperatures from minus 45 C (-50 F) in Siberia to plus 42 C ( 108 F) in Brazil. I also regularly practice Yoga and lift light weights. Of the performing arts I like ballet the most. As a way of relaxing from my professional work I like to read on archeology, anthropology, linguistics, ancient history, history of art, architecture and current events. I am a supporter of organic food growers. I am a good chess player
