Everyday my grateful journal reads so much like a damn fairytale I have to pinch myself every once in a while to keep it real. Beautiful family, a few priceless friendships, rewarding profession, successful business. Not needy, and no major hangups. I respect myself. So while life's curveballs keep it real too, I count myself overall a very lucky man. Always have been, always will be. And when you see the world through the eyes of a lucky man, there's a lot of gold out there. I'm great with the quiet evenings over talk and good wine, but I can Jekyll and Hyde it up to be a little hysterical too. Live music, a pumped up crowd: awesome. Travel? Definitely. There's a lot in this world I haven't seen yet.
So I'm looking for someone who shares the same view on life's fortunes (and misfortunes). She's also lucky. Not because of me, but just because she is who she is. She's real, soulful, feeling, laughs easily, and makes me laugh too. She's already on the inside of the inside jokes. She's probably a pleaser like me, and definitely value oriented. Meet a soulmate from Edmonton, Canada. I love to hang out with family and friends and spend time volunteering at live theatres. As I joke to my friends and family, I am a computer geek by day, theatre addict by night and I like motor sports. I am a volunteer Technical Director at a local theatre and try to help to ensure the theatre runs as smoothly as possible. Everything I try to do is geared to making me, my family and my friends happy. I would like to see any companion or friend of mine have as much fun as I do.
I do have an adult step-son and a friend of his who live at my house with me, but I encouraged them to stay. I think I would go completely stir crazy without all the kids hanging out. As I mentioned to both my step-sons when my marriage failed, they are my sons, and I would be there for them regardless of anything that happened between their mother and myself.
I do tend to be a home-body who doesn't do the night club scene, but have found that I can have just as much fun without having to go out partying.
At this time, I am looking for someone to share my time with. I am not sure if I am looking for a very serious relationship or not, I am more putting myself out there and seeing what happens. As much as I enjoy visiting with the kids and hanging out with friends... it is just not the same. I have had the opportunity a few times to get into a relationship with friends at the theatre, but I tend to be leery of that since I don't want to mess up our volunteer relationship if something goes sideways in our personal relationship.

Finding someone who can keep up is a problem.....I'm a 6'2" mature, athletic, fairly toned and fun loving guy. I love my children, my friends, sports, quiet times and fun get-togethers. My faith is very important to me so there are certain areas of my life I won't compromise on but I hope that could be said about you too. I bike, hike, roller blade, play hockey and generally like to stay active. I do my best to eat well but I do enjoy the drive through once in a while. I love to have fun and laugh but I also like to have real conversations about real issues. I don't like controlling people and tend to move away from them quickly. I'm fairly easy going, reliable and down to earth. I do like to cook and eat, I like a good desert once in a while....okay....more than once in a while. I like to watch movies, read and I'm able to just relax and hang out.
Now, I do have three children ages 6, 7, & 8. They are the joys of my life and they stay with me sometime.
