I'm a simple professional man looking for a partner - someone to care for and to care for me - a hand to hold and a life to share. I don't have any cultural preference.
I believe I carry my self with a respect for others and great warmth and sincerity. I'm not complicated and don't ask for much more than sincerity and honesty.
I work of course, but am not a workaholic. I am looking for someone that genuinely wants a committed, trusting and monogamous relationship.
I like to travel, ideally I would like to spend a good chunk of winter somewhere warm (maybe 6-8 weeks, but if you can't do that, no worries, Edmonton and the mountains aren't so bad), go out to movies, out for a bite, stay in and snuggle, entertain ... almost anything really. I relly enjoy people and doing things together. I'm really just a normal, easy going guy... and I, probably like most people, have a lot to offer.
I want someone to spend time with hopefully fall in love with - I know that will not happen overnight. Someone to wake up with - go for a walk, to the farmer's market - relax and talk with over a coffee or a glass of wine - cook and bake with - or just relaxing together at home. A hand to hold or a head resting on my shoulder at a movie or anywhere really. I enjoy all these things and so very much more - but like most things - there is little I like doing alone. Even the mundane can be fun with the right person and attitude. I do not think you need to have a long list of common interests, you just have to be interested in each other.
I try to stay reasonably fit and get out for a jog or go to the gym most days. I like golf, cycling, rollerblading and most sports in fact - I'm not any good at any of them, but that doesn't mean they are not fun. While I prefer to be a participant and not a spectator of professional sports, going to the odd hockey or football game is fun - but for me it's about the social contact with friends and not really the game.
I believe I am warm and affectionate and would want that returned. No matter where life takes me - trip out of the country (I have travelled a fair bit), gym or back yard BBQ - nothing alone is as rewarding - sometimes not rewarding at all. While I am professionally employed, I am not a workaholic. I don't work weekends or long hours and after a days work - I would like to share the balance of the day with someone special.
I do drink socially - but don't get drunk and a couple glasses of red wine is usually my limit - and I don't smoke.
I have a 17 year old son. He is kind, charitable, uncommonly driven and compassionate. He comes and goes from his mom's house and mine as he chooses, but is rarely with me. It's fine if you have children, but mine is substantially raised and while I love kids - I'm not sure if I am ready for the lifestyle that is inherent with very young children.
I'm not concerned about the colour of your skin or hair - I have no preference whatsoever regarding ethnic background - but there has to of course be mutual attraction and you do need to be honest with me and yourself as to what you want. Age? ... close to my age anyway ... I've always thought that a 10 year differential would sort of be a maximum permissible value. I would appreciate someone that looks after themselves and would go for a run, yoga (I haven't gone to yoga for a while, but I am going to get back into it) and/or to the gym with me...you don't have to be super fit, I'm not.

Edmonton is home base. Own my own company. My business allows me to travel so somewhat close proximity to an airport is important. Am divorced no children and no baggage .except my Briggs. Have a great love for the mountains along with tropical areas like Maui, have a summer lodge in Northern Saskatchewan. Tough to say which is my favorite as I love four seasons. . I am close to my family who mean the world to me and I love my folks dearly.
On the professional side, I was a long haul trucker for 10 years so grew to love and know every corner of North America. Started my own long haul transport company in 97.
Great friends and customer helped pave a opportunity to travel all over the world. Still have a desire to see Australia, Thailand, and China to name a few. Italy was a favorite. Speanding time with close friends is important.
Play all sports kinds of sports like golf / hockey roller blading, running biking. But have a real passion for water skiing and mountain sledding. Love the beach, scuba diving, being on the ocean.
Wine tasting and cooking together is a big thing that I enjoy as a couple or hosting dinner parties for friends, Hot tubing in the middle of winter with the snow falling or mid-summer with the northern lights dancing in the sky is a must to experience. If you like Harley’s I ride. I like to dance but I could use some lessons.
Well now the good stuff. I’d love to find a lady that appreciates the door to be opened for her. Curbside service is ok. . Evening walks in the dark. Jogging in the rain. Skinny dipping in the ocean. Tagging along to the mountains, going to a rodeo / chuck wagons in Calgary , getting dolled up to go dining or just going on a date night. Live concerts . playing pool or watching a movie.
