Health and wellness have been an interest of mine for many years. I have been self taught in holistic medicine, and decided in the past few years to take a long distance course through a college in Ontario. Part of my studies involved travelling to Toronto a few times to cover a more in depth and hands on part of the course. This field has always fascinated me, the ability for the body to repair and heal itself given the right nutrients, exercise and proper mind set. I have also previously managed a small, privately owned gym and enjoyed the opportunity to train clients to reach the goals they had set for themselves.
Being a Mom has been one of my accomplishments I am most proud of. I have three awesome kids, and one wonderful daughter-in-law, and they are a great inspiration to my life. I have two boys, 23 and 20 years, and a daughter 15. My oldest son is in the automotive industry and his wife a hair sylist, my younger one just graduated from NAIT having taken Construction Engineering and my daughter just got her first job for the summer and is heading for high school in the fall. I am one of those Mom's known as a "hockey Mom" and have loved every minute of it! My oldest is done, but will probably still play a men's league, younger son has been a member of a local Junior B team and my daughter plays AAA girls out of Sherwood Park. They all have a huge passion for the game and love to watch as much as they love to play! So I do hope to find someone who shares this same interest as it is an important part of our lives.
