Meet men and women from Canada. New to the province. I've never lived out west so it's a pretty exciting experience. I've been here 8 months since this past summer. My work transfers me around alot, now settling here for at least a few years. Originally from Toronto, went to school in Hamilton. Since then I've lived in Quebec, NB, and now Alberta. I'm a city boy at heart but I'm getting into the rural culture of Alberta. Bought my first cowboy outfit, got the boots, the hat, the pants, the belt. Not voluntarily, work kind of forced me for this weekend rodeo function the first week I was here.
I like to travel and experience new things. Urban culture is a passion of mine. I like travelling to new cities, seeing Metropolises packed with people and places to go.
I'm into exploring this side of the country on weekends. Montana I found is beautiful, although only drove through for a weekend.
On the calmer relaxed side I like staying in and watching movies, walking around outside, I love the snow although this year there hasn't been much. I'm an active outdoor person. I haven't been out skiing yet in Alberta and it's almost summer now again. I play hockey, cycle in the summer around the coolee. I've wanted to take up skiing and rock climbing for years but never had the opportunity.
As I've got a thing for jazz music I tried to learn the trumpet, mainly inspried by Miles, Gillespie, Baker. But when I rented a trumpet and tried to learn my dreams were squashed when I realized how loud the actual instrument is and that I lived in a small apartment 7 floors up with thin walls. I tried using the underground garage which then cause tenant concerns as to the crazy guy making random noises in the dark corner. So the instrument had to be put to rest.

Fine, have it your way. I like long walks in the rain (true story, love the smell of rain), driving too fast and sleeping too late. I'll eat damn near anything put in front of me, provided it doesn't have tomatoes in it. The exceptions to this are pizza and BBQ sauce.

I've been told I have an 'exquisite sense of humor.' That's a direct quote, though the credibility of the source is rather dubious. I know my sense of humor can be rather dark at times. That's something my partner should share. Things could get awkward were I to burst into hysterics at something she found to be simply horrific. Like the Joker's magic trick in 'The Dark Knight.' Good times.
I suppose I'm looking for someone who can tolerate my flakiness. I have a lot of hobbies and not a lot of attention span. I may have mentioned that. I switch tracks quickly and that can leave some people a bit dizzy. I'd also prefer someone who can cook. There are a lot of esoteric reasons, but the most important one is that I have the eating habits of a ritalin-addicted teenager. Fun fact: used to be one of those. I don't cook. this is not the same as, 'I can't cook,' that would be a lie. I don't cook because if you cook, people expect it, and then it becomes mundane when you cook for them. I want it to be understood that when I cook for someone, I am breaking my normal habits and going quite out of my way for them. On that note, I barbeque a mean steak.
