I believe that the only endeavour that a person can have in this life that really has a lasting legacy, and therefore some true meaning, is their role as a parent. To that end my daughter (5yo) is the centre of everything that I do. She has taught me a great deal, or perhaps reminded me of things I had casually forgotten over the years. I never expected such small bundle to contain so much. She has been a true gift.
That having been said, I realize that she is not all I need concentrate on and I don’t need to focus on her to the exclusion of all else. I suppose I am looking for a partner in life that, from a qualitative standpoint, will allow me to feel on a romantic level what my daughter has introduced me to on the parental level. If we can create a relationship where each puts the other first, neither of us ever need then feel unappreciated or 2nd place. I have learned that cultural and societal likeness allow for greater compatibility so I would prefer a nice attractive Canadian girl who has at least 35 years of experience in this world and has at least an interest in understanding life outside of her own personal space.
