I think my best asset is a great sense of humour, and try to find the best in things. I always thought I would eventually meet someone and would be with them forever, but that has not happened yet. I finally realized that life zips by pretty fast and I should maybe do something about it. Just having a relationship with someone who loves to laugh and doesn't take things too seriously would be great. A travel companion would be great also, as I have plans to see lots of the world.
I can't say my social life is that great. I think it really gets harder to do that kind of stuff as you get older. Meeting people becomes more difficult. I think that someone would be very smart if they took a chance in getting to know me.

Ah what to write, what to write, what to write ............
So what does one point out to rise above the masses of his gender to attract the attention of the opposite sex?
Well, lets start with the basics; you can read the vital statistics; male, has a pulse .......... but I imagine your looking for a little more than that. I would presume a degree of charm and perhaps good natured humor would be an asset as well.
I have been variously described in no set order and by more than one particular individual as likable, bright, romantic, funny, honest, caring, strong, handsome, spirited, reputable, cute, good listener, modest, non-ostentatious ....... well you know where these adjectives are going.
What else? Loyal, passionate; a regular "Old Yeller" except you don't have to shoot me in the end.
Am I intelligent enough to hold a reasonably interesting conversation? Intelligence is subjective of course. Many a man has been accused of having their brain located in a location far south of their head. But I digress; define intelligent? Having an under graduate degree? Check. Well read? Check. Knowing which side one's bread is buttered on? Check.
Now understanding women is a whole different kettle of fish so to speak ...... but I suspect that is what makes the whole process such fun. I concede to the superior intellect.
What's fun on my end of the gender gap? Sailing, some hiking, trips to far away lands preferably within a reasonably warm distance of the equator. Romantic nights out to dinner or attending live theater; which by extension means I clean up and dress well. Or just a night out to hang loose, try out a movie, watch the world go by or talk till the wee hours about something that seemed important at the time. Always try anything new once, twice if you like me and think I'm cute.
I'm a guy; sometimes I'll seem incredibly bone-headed and clueless. Other times I'll be incredibly endearing, understanding, non-judgmental, caring, thoughtful, romantic, and above all I'll be there when you need me.
