I was married for 30 years until my spouse passed away from a neurological illness. She helped me become the man I am today and I helped her to become the women she was. I am thankful that her suffering is over and she is with the one who loves her the most.
I think one of the best things in a marriage is when a couple puts God first. Communication, and the willingness to listen, change, and grow as individuals and as a couple are important. Laughing and having lots of fun together and really just being best friends makes a huge difference. Take time for others and develop other friendships separately is healthy too.
To me, being a Christian means...
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Reflect Christ to others and enjoy the journey, as I like to say, apprentice for Heaven. God has given each of us struggles and problems so that our character can grow and mature. Everyone has a heavy load so love others and treat others as you would like to be treated and help people as you are able to.

In five years, I see myself...
I currently have an establish business, but I am looking into some new opportunities so I can spend more time developing relationships, having more fun and helping others. I am happy in what I am doing and I am not under any pressure to change right away, so I can take my time and plan properly.
My favorite Bible passage is...

One final thing I'd like to mention...
I love the mountains and enjoy hiking the various trails in Kananaskis, Banff National Park, and also enjoy driving though BC and to the coast and Vancouver Island. I was born in Calgary and enjoy my home and the city I grew up in and the people and friends I have made over the years. I am a fairly laid back person and very organized so I am not the type of person who is rushing around always behind schedule. I like to have time to smell the flowers and sip on a coffee, reflect and read. I play piano, enjoy composing music and I love animals. I have two cats, Mickey and Pika.
I have two grown children, a daughter and a son, who are dedicated Christians and strong in their faith. They have grown into wonderful adults and both of them are engaged to be married and reside in Calgary.
Final thought: You may wonder why I have included so much detail, but I have found it is best to simply give lots of details and if you are looking at this and don't see a fit then that's fine, it's a good thing, and that way you can move on and find someone who is a better fit. :o)

Meet a man from Canada. Okay never thought I would be here but I am willing to give it a go. I am a fairly laid back individual and I get along with everyone. Many people have told me that I look younger than my age. I don't know if that is true but I do not feel like I am 50 years young. I am quite fit and enjoy doing anything outdoors but I do like to just watch t.v. or a movie once and awhile. I have traveled a little bit (Yellowknife, Miami for World Series, Anaheim, and Las Vegas). Would really like to expand my travel destinations as I have really enjoyed every place I have been. The lake or hiking in the sandhills are really where I can get away from things. Being in those places as the sun comes up is truly a spiritual experience for me. I love all types of animals and currently own two great dogs. My kids still live at home one is graduating this year and the other works in the oilfield. Both are much more independent now so I do find myself with a lot more time on my hands. It would be nice to find someone special to spend time with.
I am looking to find someone who is somewhat fit, smart, and has a nice smile. Someone who is trustworthy is very important to me, lying is a deal breaker for me. We all have faults, I am not looking for perfection, just someone to enjoy life with. If you think you are that person I am interested in hearing from you.

. I'm a secure, happy guy who is O.K. with spending time by myself, but I would love to meet someone who has similar interests & is also secure in who they are. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my kids (boy/girl/boy, all in there 20's) and feel spending time with ones partner is as important as spending time with ones friends as I feel this helps to keep a relationship healthy.
I golf in the summer every chance I get, go out to movies, comedy clubs, etc. throughout the year and would like to find a winter activity to keep me busy (travelling to a warmer climate is always fun if I can afford it!). A flames game every now & then can be enjoyable as well.
