well I was raised in a small village on the west coast where i was influenced by all kinds of different people. A lot of people from the baby boomer generation had large impacts on my life, hard working, strong, and very loyal. I like to think that most of the qualities from these people have rubbed off on me. On the other hand there were some very laid back modern thinkers, whose influence has allowed me to be very open minded and accepting of more modern ideals and views.
So i guess i'm the kind of person who is a little bit of everything, a good mixture of tradition and innovation.
The kind of person that would fit me would be someone who could enjoy the traditional side of me, while staying independent. I like to take care and support my partners, because i enjoy it, not to gain anything in return. Being there for them is more than enough of a reward.

Well I am a very busy person but never too busy if that certain someone came along. I just hate sitting around doing nothing so i keep myself busy so i dont get bored. I love the outdoors and always jump at the chance to go camping or hiking. Im active as much as possibe when not at work and i really enjoy hanging out with family and friends. I would much perfer to stay in and playboard games with friends than go out, if that gives you an idea about me. While saying that i do enjoy the occasional drink at a pub.
If you made to this line then your probably thinking that this guy is horrible at this and you would be right! I would be much more cofortable letting out all the information about me out over time as a discovery rather than up front but thats online dating reality for you.

Date people from Canada. I'm a born-and-raised Calgarian, which seems to be somewhat rare these days from the people I meet. I've got a BA in Law & Society (with a History minor) from U of C, currently working in financial services, which has its moments. I love hockey and it's a huge part of my life - I'm a goalie, I follow it religiously, and recently started coaching a bit as well (though I'm not playing at the moment due to a knee problem). While the Flames are my favourite team, I somehow became a Maple Leafs fan too; there is no insult about being a Leafs fan that my friends and family haven't thrown at me twice already. I've got a fairly random and often twisted sense of humour; I tend to think society (and media in particular) is way too concerned with political correctness. I'm also a bit (okay, a lot) of a geek, but I'm not gonna get into that.
Outside of that, I've got a dog that I adore and spend a lot of time with. My friends and family are hugely important to me, and many have had a profound effect on my life in some way. I try to get out with my friends as much as possible, and visit ones in other cities (mainly Victoria) whenever I can. I'd love (and plan) to travel a lot more than I have to this point.
The main thing I tend to look for in a woman is a sense of humour, and I think having some shared interests is always a benefit. I don't really know what to expect from here, so we'll see where this goes.
