As for my affectionate side, only the lucky get to see that. ;p Most great things in life are achieved through taking some sort of risk. Whether it is risking one’s heart to find that special someone or jumping out of a perfectly good airplane to get the next adrenaline rush, one must be willing to risk something in order to gain something amazing in return.
My friends and family mean the world to me and play a substantial part in my life. Their support has helped mold me into the man I am today and I would literally do anything for them as they have for me. As this world can definitely be scary at times, I like to surround myself with an amazing support network who are there to help me when times get tough.
When I am able to venture outside of the city I like to spend my time camping, hiking, quading, hunting, fishing, tubing, paintballing, etc. Otherwise I like to hang out with friends, cooking new dishes, have a relaxing night at home watching movies, playing guitar, and going out dancing (mostly two-step). I like to listen to a wide variety of music, however I will admit that Country music makes up a substantial portion of what I listen to. I also like to listen to rock, punk, some metal, etc.
What am I looking for? I’m looking for someone that I can share some of life’s adventures with. She would not only take interest in some of my interests but would also share some of hers as well. She’s willing to try new things, see new places and willing to go on random road trips not fully knowing where we will endup. Someone who is willing to express herself as honest communication is the key in any relationship. Meet single boy from Canada. I consider myself to be pretty established and independent, I live on my own and have my own car. I'm very adventurous and enjoy lots of outdoor activities as mentioned in my 'for fun'. I have been told I have nice (blue) eyes. I like going out with friends on weekends but never had much interest in meeting my missing half at the bar; I also like staying in too. I mostly listen to hard rock, classic rock and post-grunge music. Over the last few years I've seen over 54 different rock bands live in concert including Default (more than 10x), AC/DC, 3 Doors Down, Kiss, The Goo Goo Dolls, CCR and Metallica (just to name a few). If you like rock music that's a huge plus! I always wish I could escape the city and go to the country more often. My favorite season is fall and my favorite time of day is Sunset / Dusk. I am a big fan of playin pool and probably am not near as good at it as I think I am. I'm not sure why but I am a big maple leafs fan, and really enjoy going to hockey games. I very strongly dislike the words lame and chill, not to sure why. I dont think a person can ever be wrong if they are telling the truth. I'm usually pretty shy for about 5 minutes. 9 times out of 10 I would pick a diet coke to drink, cause I love it. I have to be pretty serious and get very stressed out at work so I try balance it out by being ridiculously casual and easy going when I'm at home. I wear glasses when I feel like looking smart, don't know if it works or not but you win some you lose some. Whenever I print anything I do it in all capital letters, I don't like lowercase letters I guess, weird I know. Although I don't do it to often I have never met anyone that could shotgun a beer faster then me, I think it probabaly counts as a skill. I have a hard time not joking around and think sometimes the best comment is a sarcastic one. If you ever catch me on the computer I will probably slam it shut in a panic, not because I am on something bad but I don't like getting caught listening to the spin doctors or whatever equally cheery 90's pop song I would be listening to. I like the sound of typing haha it makes me sleepy. It seems like I may be the only person in my generation without a tattoo.
I broke my back pretty good when I was 19 and try to act like it didn't happen or let it bother me to much, but if you are looking for a partner to climb Mount Everest or do cartwheels on cliffs, I may not be your best bet. Cart wheels anywhere but flat land are out of the question!
I am a Petroleum Engineer Technician and work as a Consultant on drilling rigs so I live in the bush for a few weeks at a time usually which is ok, life is a trade off. And plus it's just the first part of a plan to get where I want to be one day, I like my job but I want kids and the white picket fence one day, and I don't plan on bringing anyone into this world just to always be away and let them down, hearing about a birthday or school or a first goal in hockey just don't sound the same over the phone I am sure. I figure the harder I work now the better off I will be in the future and may as well miss out on some things now so I can be home all the time in a few years when I hopefully will have something worth dropping everything for so one day I will leave this office that follows a drilling rig and switch to one in Calgary and come home to a personal life that makes me feel content every night.
That being said, I am a person that has a long term plan and I am looking for someone that will invest some time into building a relationship. I am not really looking for a fling, I think it is time for something more stable and meaningfull haha plus I am probably not pretty or carefree enough for flings anyways.
Other than all of that I am probabaly pretty normal I would say, but those are some of my more unique qualites... not sure any of those are qualities but oh well.

Fine, have it your way. I like long walks in the rain (true story, love the smell of rain), driving too fast and sleeping too late. I'll eat damn near anything put in front of me, provided it doesn't have tomatoes in it. The exceptions to this are pizza and BBQ sauce.

I've been told I have an 'exquisite sense of humor.' That's a direct quote, though the credibility of the source is rather dubious. I know my sense of humor can be rather dark at times. That's something my partner should share. Things could get awkward were I to burst into hysterics at something she found to be simply horrific. Like the Joker's magic trick in 'The Dark Knight.' Good times.
I suppose I'm looking for someone who can tolerate my flakiness. I have a lot of hobbies and not a lot of attention span. I may have mentioned that. I switch tracks quickly and that can leave some people a bit dizzy. I'd also prefer someone who can cook. There are a lot of esoteric reasons, but the most important one is that I have the eating habits of a ritalin-addicted teenager. Fun fact: used to be one of those. I don't cook. this is not the same as, 'I can't cook,' that would be a lie. I don't cook because if you cook, people expect it, and then it becomes mundane when you cook for them. I want it to be understood that when I cook for someone, I am breaking my normal habits and going quite out of my way for them. On that note, I barbeque a mean steak.

I've entered the portion of my life where I have began establishing myself with my career and am hoping to find someone in a similar boat or is working towards doing the same. People would describe me as being kind of quiet at first, that is until I start getting to know the person. It really doesn't take me long to start feeling comfortable around someone and it doesn't take them long to figure out how easy going I actually am. I don't stress in life too much so if your around me you'll find that I am a very calming and supportive person. I'm very easy to get along with and generally think the world of the person I'm with. The main reason I'm giving this site a try is because I don't get a chance to go out and meet new people as much as I used to. I'm not into the bar scene too much anymore as I've found I've kind of outgrown it. Also, I absolutely love coaching sports (mainly volleyball), it's very time consuming but I love it! I'm a very athletically orientated person and if you've scrolled down my profile far enough you'll find that I've basically made a career of it haha. I don't know if some girls might find that intimidating but whether you are athletic or not it makes absolutely no difference to me, I'm more so looking for someone I can connect well with on more than one level.
