Trying to describe yourself is a difficult thing to do -- but here goes ...I grew up in a big city but moved to a rural property over 30 years ago in northern Canada. I have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. They are currently all living in Alberta - my family is very important to me. We did lots of wilderness canoeing, camping and hunting as a family. We took advantage of our rural surroundings.
For some reason, I have this urge to do a pilgrimage in Spain -- the Camino de Santiago de Compostela -- which would be fun to do with a partner. Do you like to walk? I also love to take trips by car.
I enjoy learning new things. I love to read and go to movies. I like to garden and, along with that, I like nature walks and holding hands with a special someone.
I would like to travel more. I would also like to do more volunteering.
I finally got a house dog - he looks like a Nova Scotia Duck Toller but weighs only 18 lbs. Perfect size for me. Loves to chase things and go for walks. He keeps me active so the glass is always half full. I am quite optimistic, loving and interested in what is happening, locally and internationally.
