I was the first in my family to go to University, where I worked for a Bachelor's degree in Engineering; I get my Professional status later this year. I was drawn to Alberta after doing a work-term here while in University and loved the area, the work, and met some really great people (lots from back home). I've been running a successful marketing agency full-time for just about a year now. It's been my full-focus and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one the wickedest careers ever. I get to do what I love, meet so many great people, choose who I work with and when I want to work (don't get me wrong, it’s not just lollipops and rainbows though haha). The goal for next year is to work in Edmonton for 9 months then work for the remaining 3 months somewhere sunny with a beach =). My mindset right now is bust my ass now, so I don’t have to worry later. I'm dedicated and passionate in whatever I do but at the same time I know how to shut it off and have a good time.
Aside from work, I really enjoy spending time with family especially hanging out with my niece and nephews. I also love traveling and it’s definitely something I’ll be doing more of in the new year. I could go on, so to sum it up, I like trying new things, meeting new people, and just be in situations that are new to me and I’m somewhat uncomfortable in (that sounds odd weird but you get where I’m going hahah).
