Meet a soulmate from Alberta, Canada. I am terrible at introspection so I will just list some things I (don't) like/do and maybe you can figure out why I (don't) like/do them: I play music. Mostly guitar, a little banjo, and maybe some others too. I like rock, especially indie. I dislike rap and hip-hop. Most of all I love that folksy-rootsy stuff that you can stomp your foot to. Though foot-stomping is where it ends since I do not dance. Nor do yoga. In fact, 3 of my friends have independently stated that of the people they know I am the 'guy least likely to do yoga.' This is telling. It's cool if you do yoga though, I'll not judge. I'd just rather lift weights and run fast. I am a doctoral student in neuroscience, which is a good fit because I love to learn, create, build, tinker, debate and pursue. I love studying all sorts of stuff though, particularly ancient Europe. I read lots. But I'm not the archetypical academic - I'm a pretty rugged guy, having worked up north for several summers. I've traveled a bit in Europe, but I've road-tripped extensively and I've been to most of the US. I have a bunch of friends in town, especially a core group of which I've known since elementary and high-school. I've little experience 'dating' in the conventional sense, though I'm really easy to talk to (and have lots of close female friends, so it's not like I'm weird or awkward around the opposite sex or anything. Phew.). The one thing I am pointedly not interested in is food - I will eat so that I do not die, but I have no interest in food or cooking. But other than that I'm interested in lots of stuff. And I'm a nice guy too to top it all off, and maybe even somewhat ...charming? Wink.
And what am I looking for?
A gal who's smart but not career-crazed, elegant but down-to earth, pretty but not vain, creative but grounded, hard-working but not to fault.

Meet someone special from Canada. Well I live and work in Calgary but my work some times takes me to other parts of western Canada. My education is in Fine Art Photography and I have printed for the National archives of Canada. I work in a completely different industry but it's better at paying the bills and hobbies. Every chance I get I'm driving some where to go and have an adventure whether it's off to go ski in 40cm of fresh powder or carrying my canoe down to the river to go play in some waves. I don't own a TV but I do enjoy movies.

I've always had the goal to better myself when it came to work, I started off working when I was 13. Delivering papers, later, I decided I wanted skills I can carry in to my home life when I was married and older. So I worked as a carpenter for a number of years, from concrete, framing to finishing. Nowadays, I am a manager for an oilfield rental company and I I think I've found my niche.
