Who I am: I would consider myself more of a Westernized Chinese. My Cantonese is rather embaressing, even though I am fully capable of understanding it in conversation. I wouldn't say I'm really traditional, but I still keep elements that are important to me, like hard work and respect. I truely enjoy cooking. There's just something about going out to buy the ingredients and cooking them. Although it is time consuming it is worth it. Funny thing is that I am a terrible baker. What I'd like to do on a date: I'm no adrenaline junkie, but I do like adventures. I love anything from a nice chat to getting humbled at physical activity. If you have a hobby or something you truely love to do, I'd love to see that. Nothing excites me more than being around someone who's eyes truely light up when they can do what they really enjoy. Back in 2007 I was attacked by ninjas which ended with me being a T4 (Nipple line) parapalegic. At least that's the story I'm gunna give for now. Sounds better than saying I'm a clumbsy dumbass, but I suppose if you're really curious I could tell the real story. But just because I'm gimped doesn't mean I'm dead. In the past 5 years I've dealt with way too much mediacl BS (up to 18 surgeries now) but finally see a light at the end of that tunnel.
Of course, from the time I 1st came to terms with things and figured out that this was a permenant thing, the next thing I did was start trying to figure out how to drive my 49 Ford now. I am currently working on a car show aimed towards people with physical disabilities. Gotta dispell the stereotype that "IF you're gimped, you can only drive a mini-van". No freakin' way.

I've worked as a cook, a bartender, and a cable installer, and now I'm working as Web Developer at a small locally-owned company in Edmonton. I'm also in the process of finishing my first degree in Computing Science at the University of Alberta.
Any chance I get to go camping, hiking, mountain biking, skiing or snowboarding with real people, I'll probably take it. I'm open to most non-stressful activities, even if I don't actively seek them out. As far as competitive sports go, I don't mind a bit of badminton or soccer now and again.
I consider cooking to be a hobby now that it isn't my work. I also do writing once in a while. Sometimes you just have to write something that isn't constantly being constrained by rules or throwing up errors whenever you do something wrong. I don't know if I would classify biking as a hobby, but fixing my bike when it breaks might count. Fixing the stuff that I accidentally break takes up a good amount of my time, mostly because I'm a clumsy oaf, so I'm just going to say it's a hobby until someone calls me out on it.
I'm not really a dieter per se, but I do pay attention to what I eat. I like Cajun, Mexican, Japanese, and Italian cooking, and I don't mind making it spicy. If you have dietary considerations like Kosher, Vegetarian, Vegan (I'd need a bit of coaching on that one), Paleo, Gluten-free, etc., I should be able to accommodate you.
I like to chill. Do you like to chill? Because I like to chill. Chamomile, green tea, white tea, G and T's, craft beer, goofy old horror movies, popcorn, board games, chatting, amongst other things. If it's comfortable and it's cool, it's fair game.

I'm not so much a "Dater" as I am a "Hanger Outer" and you'll find out early on that I'm not big on formalities. I don't treat first encounters as job interviews and I would ask that you do the same. Show up like you're heading out to a laid-back evening with your friends, because I sure will be.
If one hangout turns into a few hangouts, and that turns into something more serious, I would just say that the most important thing I look for in a relationship is that it's stress-free. That's probably not saying much, since I don't know anyone who's ever said "My last relationship just wasn't stressful enough!" I don't believe in sustaining a relationship with hormones. There has to be understanding and trust for it to work.

Once you've learned how to be honest with yourself there is no reason to lie to anyone. I would much rather be told the truth then have life sugar-coated. I've changed a lot in the last year and an exponential amount in the past decade. I'm not the person I used to be and I'm extremely happy about that.
Life isn't always going to go the way you think it should. You have to be reasonable, learn to adapt, focus on the good and try your hardest to forget the bad. For the last nine years I have spent my summers volunteering at a couple bible camps. One is near Wetaskiwin and the other is out at Nordegg. I think spending time with youth and investing in their lives is one of the greatest things that some one can do.
I also am a volunteer firefighter in my town. Lots of fun and excitement!oh and I coach volleyball at my old highschool, also a lot of fun.

I would say the best way to describe myself is charismatic..Any one who has known me for a long period of time will tell you that I'm my own person that has a passion for life and loves to smile..I'm not conceited, but have slowly grown more comfortable in my own skin to the point where I'm confident in who I am. It takes a bit of poking and prodding to peel the layers back and see what I'm all about. But given a bit of time I can warm up to someone I'm interested in fairly quick.
