Meet a guy from Canada. It's early Saturday morning (and by early, I mean the crack of 10am). Friday night I had an awesome time hanging out with people in the back yard around the campfire. My thick head of hair smells a little a smoky, which was great last night, but now makes me want to puke.
I open the window and it's absolutely gorgeous out. Completely forgetting that I stink, I grab my fishing gear and tent from the garage, throw it in the most practical vehicle you'll ever encounter (a beautiful, spacious, fuel efficient Toyota Matrix... CHA-CHING). I'm going fishing.
I head west a couple hours and hike into a lake I haven't been to before. Of course I catch 1.2 billion fish because I'm awesome like that then proceed to set up my tent and spend the night by the river enjoying the outdoors and making a gourmet meal over the fire. Some people set up shop right next to me, but I don't mind. I love making new friends, and I'm Italian, so I made enough food to feed a small army.
On Sunday I head home and get ready for another week at work making sure our forests are healthy. It's a lot of responsibility taking care of Alberta's forests, but it's what I love. Sunday night I'll probably go hang out with my awesome nephews and niece and the rest of the family.
In summary, I'm a laid back guy who loves the outdoors, cooking and just relaxing. Some might see me as kind of quiet, but I'm just laying low waiting for my opportunity to crack you up with the most hilarious thing you've ever heard. I'm a big sports fan and love playing and watching hockey, which is weird coming from a 20-something Canadian male (sarcastic sense of humour, check!). I would give myself a 7 out of 10 in "life skills". So I'm not quite as sweet as a grandpa, but I can change a tire and generally get things done.
