I love the outdoors, having spent a large chunk of my youth camping. I still enjoy doing so with my family when I can, as well as just going for walks or relaxing under a tree with a bag of peas, and of course fishing. Alternatively I also enjoy kicking back with video games or even a game of canasta. When I say I like cards, I mean the good stuff like canasta and cribbage, not boring old poker. Board games aren't bad either except I never have anyone to play them with.
I'm also a family man. I'm close to my family, and want a family of my own someday. I go to bars with friends when they invite me, mostly to play pool, but aside of that I'm not much of a bar hopper, and definitely not a clubber. I'm also a small town guy, cities just don't have enough green for me.

I am the youngest of four kid's, I have three older sisters. Yes i'm sure that they dressed me up like a cabbige patch kid when I was young but I don't remeber it so I say it didn't really happen. I grew up in Falher, which is a very small town in Norther Alberta. We then moved to Whitecourt where I got a job at the Golf Course and found one of my biggest passions in Life.
I Love to play golf. I was working as the Golf Operations Manager at a course near Airdrie but decided that Edmonton is the place for me. I didn't get another job in the golf industry as it is very seasonal and you miss out on your whole summer every year. Now i'm back to just enjoying the game.
In my spare time I like to go to any event. Weither it be a concert, down to the leg to watch the fireworks, a nice nature hike, or pretty much play any sport. I love being able to drop everything and taking the opertunity to try new things.

Yoga as a lifestyle can be a very, very odd but rewarding one. There is a whole lot more to it than just doing some postures.
My personal practice is traditional Ashtanga Yoga. I do the physical practice everyday but Saturdays and moon days (new moon and full moon). My main focus in my own practice and in the classes I teach is the breath. Creating a rhythm in the breath and riding it gracefully throughout the practice brings awareness and every moment becomes a meditation. It is the guide which tells us the quality of our practice.
The discipline that is required to follow Ashtanga traditionally has helped shape me into the person I am today. I am an investigative type of person, I like to know why and how something works. The changes that I was seeing in my own personal life led me to studying Indian spirituality and yoga philosophy. Many times I have been amazed to hear the stories of yogis and have been awed by reading the ancient and universal teachings of yoga, only to have realized that they are applicable even today. Just reading is not enough though, the teachings have come from a profound and unusual experience, beyond the capacity of the normal person to achieve or even understand without practicing yoga. Yoga to me is philosophy in action, so I do my best to apply it to my daily life.
I love seeing people smile, no matter how your day is going, there is always someone there to give you a smile. It is by far the most underrated gift we can give another person.

I really can't beleive how many words they make us type into here! This is so awkward trying to sum up the essence myself over 4000 words. That's a lot of words and each one is getting harder... and harder.... to type
... maybe I should just delete all that but whatever... just realized you need 4000 characters MAXIMUM... I was at the minimum 200 a while back.... problem solved!
