I'm very down to earth, honest (sometimes brutally) and gentle. I see everything on this earth as serving some sort of purpose, some sort of divine character in the universal never ending story. I love art. Whether it's visionary or auditory, any productive use of the imagination intrigues me. My preferred path of artistic expression is through music. I play guitar, and dabble in a number of other instruments. As far a listening to music goes, It's all good and all transports me multidimensionaly in its own right.
I enjoy, everything outdoors (never learned how to skisnowboard very well), gardening, cookingeating, board gamescards, long boarding, trying new things then mastering the things i like, going out for beers (especially beers i haven't tried, dancing to D&B, concerts, long hard dirty sex, educating myself, traveling, meeting new friends. etc...
What i'm looking for on here is friendships with people who share my interests. I'm fairly new to calgary, and fresh out of a long term relationship, so I'm at the early stages of a fresh life. I'm not looking for anything with strings attached or anyone with baggagedramas.

I love to eat and I love to cook. I'm a vegan, and I enjoy diversity, so i have to be creative and dynamic in the kitchen. It keeps things interesting. I love to cook ethnic foods, Indian is my favorite. I will never again eat, let alone cook Thai food. I lived on Thai Curry and Pad Thai, breakfast lunch and dinner for three months... That's enough thanks!
I'm always working on some goal or another, but for me it's not really the completion of them, but more the journey towards, that gives me energy. I also try to break up routine and add some spontaneity into my days every now and then, even if it's something silly like walking home backwards, or eating a bagel upside-down or something.

Date a boy from Alberta, Canada. My friends say I'm a down-to-earth, considerate guy with a good head on my shoulders. Aside from all that, I have a passion for travel, the outdoors and sports. This summer, I've been training for a glacial skills course & summit of Mt. Rainer. Regardless of season, I love putting mileage on my car to get out to our awesome backyard of mountains and lakes. I have a job that is stimulating and coworkers who share the same mantra - work to live. But it definitely makes the bucketlist possible. Been doing some laid back travels most of my life but have cranked it up recently - Japan, Thailand, Bali, Tanzania... Can't wait for my next jet-setting adventure. I currently live in Edmonton but work here in Drayton Valley hauling logs (Im in edmonton on weekends, and Drayton Valley all week). I’ve always had an idea where I want to go in life yet have often let chance decide the path – good or bad, it makes for an adventure along the way! Misadventures are fun and so too is traveling, I've been to a few places yet there is much left to the world to explore, ideally with someone :) I do like to smile just doesn’t seem to capture in pics! I like to try to make others smile when the chance arises! Frequent trips tend to fallout from my random and spontaneous attempts to make a good time. In my career I'm proud of my accomplishments and continue to take myself to the next level, I enjoy learning and challenging myself. Though once my current round of education finishes I hope to take the longest break away from school in my life! Other than all that, I like to hang out with my friends, visit with my family when they're in town and I have a very active dog that keeps me busy everyday. I haven't met anyone in a while, so, I figured I would try this. Worse case scenario - I meet some fun new people.
I run a small wine store and am very committed to it, so sometimes I do work long/odd hours. When I am not at the store I like to relax and read/study or watch TV, or spend time with friends, and I try to get to the gym a few nights a week.
In the summer I play a lot of softball, camp whenever I can, and just try and enjoy as much of the short summers we get as possible.
Winter is slower for me, I do play a little volleyball and do my best to get out with people a night or two a week.
I love good food and wine, so someone who can also appreciate those things would be important. Someone who is down to earth and likes to have fun is ideal for me. If she is active that is a huge bonus, and it would probably motivate me to stay active.
