I have a good job that I don't hate going to. I enjoy all sports, play most of them but may have a slight addiction to golf in the summer. Love going to the mountians any time of the year and try to 3 or 4 times per. I have not travelled much but look forward to doing more in the future. I don't drink but dont judge those who do. It's just my choice. Having said that, clearly not interested in someone who goes out to the clubs all that often. I do like going to pubs and restaurants to grab some appies and drinks but I am more than past the bar scene. I will learn to play the guitar....at some point. I tidy my house constantly and am definitely a morning person. I never say no to going to the movies, comedy clubs, concerts or sporting events.

I am a confident, easy going free spirit that loves to laugh, usually at myself. I love being spontaneous and outside my comfort zone...so I hope to find someone with a little spontaneity craving to show itself once and awhile. I am a secure and happy person, very happy to spend time alone, but life is meant to be lived for two. Date men and women from Alberta, Canada. So, I recently moved to Calgary for a new job and I only knew a couple good friends before moving out here.
As an introduction, I prefer dangerous freedom to peaceful slavery. Don't look into that too much. I like the outdoors and I work hard. I stay active and try to get out when I can, whether it's snowboarding and crosscountry skiing in the winter or disc in the summer. Don't get me wrong, I can be as lazy as I am active, it's all situational. I'd call myself a dog person, but can't have a dog because of work. I have to be away from home 10 hours a day during the week, that just wouldn't be fair.
I love to travel, who doesn't. I've seen most of Europe and North America. I go to Holland once a year to see family, but my favourite place to travel is still Canada. And this might sound insane to some but my idea of a hot vacation is Vancouver Island/Haida Gwaii in the summertime. If I won the lottery I'd probably spend the entire winter chasing powder days in BC and the summer chasing sluice gold for fun.
I grew up in Toronto spending the week at school and weekends working at the cottage. The cottage involved everything from chainsawing and splitting, to mechanic, to boat work, to relaxing with friends. Then I got into hop farming and with friends started the largest organic hop farm in Ontario and maybe Canada, which is still a work in progress. The end goal is to start Canada's first locally grown organic brew house. It's something ten of us are really passionate about. I have more post-harvest stories than I could ever wriet about, but the stories are better told in person.
What am I looking for? It's all situational.

Well I’d like to think I’m an adventurous guy who is pretty much willing and open-minded to try anything…at least once, anyway. I love to travel (have been globe-trotting a fair bit), enjoying the thrill of discovering places and meeting new people- definitely closer to the 'backpacking’ type than the 'five-star resort’ kind-of-guy. Often find the most fun and more memorable stories surround getting to where you need to go.
I like to be outdoors and active; I'm less than a year into my Canadian Rockies experience and wouldn't mind someone showing me the ropes... although I think I'm doing well for myself so far as I've picked up both Cross Country and Alpine skiing. That's pretty Western Canadian right?
I enjoy playing all sorts of sports but some might say a little competitive…probably comes from my days of running varsity track and field (still trying to train and stay in shape). I like the adrenaline sports too, as I have done bungy jumping, white water rafting, abseiling and caving. Sky diving next? Nevertheless, I am perfectly content with a leisure hike in a scenic backdrop.
In terms of going out I’m more of a pub guy but can be convinced to do the club thing from time to time- not overly impressed by dress codes (notorious from where I come from) but I have survived worse. Mind you, I CAN clean up very nicely should the occasion present itself.
I can cook and do enjoy trying new, simple recipes. Since I've moved out here I've expanded my menu a lil bit: have to love that Alberta beef.
I feel politeness can be contagious and it's often the little deeds that can make a world of difference.

. Well I guess this is where I say some things about myself. I was born and rasied in Halifax Nova Scotia and moved to Calgary the end of Jan. I have a job that I really enjoy,and have been doing it since 2003 ( you will have to ask what I do and I will let you know). I have two older brothers that taught me alot growing up.
