I tend to stay at home and write on question and answer sites on the internet at night. I don't have a Facebook or twitter account. I buy groceries instead of eating out, but I do enjoy a fast food burger and a doughnut when I need them. I pay my half of rent and utility bills on time. I don't own a smart phone, but I have a cheap cell phone that doesn't get apps or an internet connection . I don't have credit cards, but If I need to buy something with them then I purchase a gift card. I don't have a car or even a drivers licence, but I have a learners permit. I own a small collection of books on science, health, adventure fantasy (such as Forgotten Realms and Dragon lance) and classics of philosophy and politics and when I don't read them I sigh and look at the covers every so often when I feel like I wasted my money on them. I take baths when ever I like (even at night with the fan on) until all the hot water is gone then I give up and do something else like watch TV or go on the internet or radio or go to bed.
I don't drink coffee, alcohol or smoke. I don't want to be around those that drink or smoke. I like cold name brand cola, fresh cold milk, and I drink water and juice sparingly.
I used to go out for walks and play sports but I don't like doing them alone... sometimes I walk downtown and back... but I usually come back with groceries and a doughnut.

I have visited Spain, Italy, India, Morocco, Barbados, India, Nepal, and still want to visit more places. I did my undergrad at UofC and graduate studies in the department of Medicine at McGill (just returned to Calgary a few months ago)l. Montreal is amazing. The food, festivals, and lifestyle is unparalleled. I am very active and enjoy running, scuba diving, soccer, and culinary creations. My life experience has taught me that time flies, the unexpected can occur, so be sure to do the things you want to do; no excuses. That being said I don't limit myself, if an opportunity to go scuba diving in Belize or Burma is available, I will do it. If there is a Chelsea vs. Manchester United game in the UK, I will grab a flight and fly to the match. If I crave Mikado's sushi or Mechant Boeuf in Montreal, I will go for the weekend. I would do the same for the person that I care for as well.

I am an established 33 year old professional. I stand 5'10" with a athletic/lean build, with brown hair and blue eyes. I am paradoxal, I have many qualities of the classic introvert (I value quality over quantity of relationships), yet I had a successful career as a military officer. I can be extremely accommodating at times and incredibly stubborn at others (I know what I don’t want). I could be described as very direct at times, extremely shy with people I don't know, a good listener, sarcastic, and competitive. I am also extremely pragmatic and a realist. I believe in looking after myself and seeking self improvement. In addition to physical activities, I like to keep track of political/financial events throughout Canada and the World. I hold 2 degrees and I like taking courses and would like to improve my ability to speak French in the future as well. I have re-found a career that I love and make great money at it. I am definitely a unique guy whether that be for good or bad. I am not the guy that initially sparks a lot of interest, it will take a while to get me but I definitely get better with time. I love playing sports; hockey, curling, golf, squash, soccer and ultimate Frisbee. I know golf and curling seem like lame sports but they really are quite fun, and lets face it you wont be kickboxing or climbing mountains when you are in your 70s. I am definitely the type that would rather be playing than watching in all sports, with one exception being football. I also work out with weights 3-4 days a week. As an Engineer I have a major interest in mechanical things. I am into auto restoration / modification to drag racing and have been active in that more so in the past. I like strategy type board games, cards, computer games and virtually anything competitive. Like everybody else, I like movies, TV, and music but none of them are dominant things in my life.
My philosophies for life: (1) Treat others how you want others to treat yourself. (2) Loyalty to friends, family and country, not corporations or brand identities. (3) Seek continual improvement in yourself. (4) Don’t settle for now, build for the future. (5) Pick your battles and don't sweat the pissy details. (6) Talk is cheap, but actions hold real value.
Pet Peeves: Celebrity worship, Fashion in brand. Extreme materialism and greed. People who cant admit when they are wrong and hypocrites.
What am I looking for?
In short, a complete package, she would be strong, mature, classy, very intelligent, possess similar interests or/and be strongly independent as well as having a good degree of initiative and ambition. She understands a little mutual respect and consideration goes a long way. She participates in sports or exercises in some regular capacity.
