I'm a teacher and I love what I do. I'm also a musician and until a few months ago I was in a band. I'm not in a band anymore but I love to pick up a guitar and play/sing when I have the chance. I also write a lot of music and have done some recording. I'm mostly into rock but I also like acoustic singer/songwriter type stuff and some older music. I even write a bit of country.
I think trust, honesty, and open communication are extremely important in a relationship. I don't believe in playing games, I wear my heart on my sleeve and you will always know where you stand with me.
I own my own home and vehicle and I do have other goals and aspirations in life but you'll have to talk to me to learn what they are.

People say I’m “nice guy” which I guess is a compliment (despite the old clich? that nice guys finish last) but this doesn’t mean I’m a pushover. My nature is to be nice but I recognize that sometimes “nice” doesn’t get results so I am respectful but demand respect in return. I know how to treat a lady and will treat you like gold but all I ask is that you don’t take it for granted.
I keep myself in good shape and try to eat healthy whenever possible but I’m not so uptight about eating right that I can’t enjoy a good pizza or some comfort food from time to time. I think I’m a pretty good cook (you tell me) but I can’t really say that I “love” to cook….just saying!
I tend to keep my living space pretty clean so if you like to cook then I’m a pretty good dishwasher too. ; )
I love to laugh and make others laugh so you’ll find that I’m usually quick with a joke (or sarcastic remark). Hopefully you are someone who isn’t afraid to be silly or that takes themselves too seriously.
I have a beautiful 4 year old daughter who is with me usually a couple of days a week and every second weekend, so I think it is goes without saying that its important you like kids.

Meet people from Alberta, Canada. I'm an-easy going person, who is athletic, enjoys the outdoors, and traveling. I've traveled throughout North America to places such as Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal, Nova Scotia (Southern-half), Toronto, Seattle, NYC, Portland, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Scottsdale, Cancun, Jamaica, and overseas to countries such as Japan, England, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, France, Australia, China and Vietnam. I recently went to Russia (St. Petersburg, Novgorod and Moscow) and Holland (Amsterdam) in Oct with my sister.
Born and raised in Vancouver, the only place I haven't really been to in BC is the Queen Charlotte Islands (which I would really like to do sometime in the future), and the Kootenays around the Castlegar area. So if you name a place, most likely I've been there and have a story to go along with it!
As for friends and family, most of my closest friends are people who I went to high-school and university with and although I am away from most of my family and friends I always try to keep in touch with them on a regular basis by phone and try to visit or meet up with them whenever practical. I've got a pretty awesome group of friends here in Calgary now that I've been here for three years (a couple of university buddies et al.).
Work has always been an important focus of my life and I've been fortunate enough to have met some life-long friends and have been able to see and experience a lot of BC (including the coastline) and some parts of AB through it. I work hard, but always have time for friends.
My friends would describe me as loyal, generous, considerate, patient, genuine, hard-working, and reliable.
Some interesting facts about me:
- I come from a commercial fishing family (I started going out fishing every summer with my Dad when I was 6 and stopped when I was 22), and was the captain of my own boat when I was 18, the youngest captain on the west coast of BC at that point in time.
- I've got three sisters (not sure if that's good or bad - debatable) and I'm third in line.
- I snowboard and ski - I grew up skiing but snowboard now.
- I used to competitively play rugby and lacrosse.
- I like to fly fish.
- A popular destination that I haven't been to yet (and want to go to): Hawaii
- Last cool thing I did: My 20 year high-school reunion - same ol' people, just older!

If I had only a few things that would bother me, it would be that I've never really dated, I met my wife at a young age and we thought this is it, we left on good terms. I am helping a student from Africa get his education at a college in Lacombe. His name is Erick.
I set up a scuba program for the boys and girls clubs of Calgary and got it into 3 dive shops in town.
I put a roof over my families head when they need it and I love them all.
I rescued a cat in Red Deer, who came out of the bushes with a gimped foot. I took him to the local vet and gave them my credit card and instructions to fix him and find the owner (tattoo). I adopted him when they didn't want him. His name is TC (The Cat). Lol.
