In my spare time I like to go on adventures. I went snowboarding in Whistler last winter, and tried out paddle boarding in Maui. Currently I am researching places where I can take a few beginner lessons on kite surfing. Now, while I have been to a bunch of really cool places to try out some really cool sports - it does not mean I am am an expert at any of these sports. I just like to try out new things. I don't mind going out of my comfort zone to learn or try something new. While those are some of my bigger adventures, I am equally as happy spending a weekend camping with friends, or watching a movie at home on the couch. I currently organize a hockey league, and I find that it's a great way to interact with people and provide a service that everyone enjoys.
Just like the adventures and new sports that I have tried, I think in order to achieve anything in life you have to take a risk, and put yourself out there, so here I am trying Match to see where it will take me.

-I play the guitar (not very well but I get by)
-A few beers and I can sing too. (That's probably the beers talking)
-I exercise regularly and eat pretty healthy. (Except for 'cheat day'. That's just a mess)
-I love my job and hope I can do it 'til I retire.
-I scuba dive.
-I have parachuted 14 times. (only had to deploy the reserve once. You can ask about that over coffee sometime)
- I've owned two motorcycles
-I love animals but have never had my own pet in adult life. I would love to have a dog but it wouldn't be fair to have one the way my lifestyle is right now. (Condo, busy job, etc.)
I guess the big question is, why am I still single, never married, etc? It doesn't fit, right? Well, I lived with someone for a few years and things didn't work out. After that, I went to university and sort of immersed myself in my education and my part time job with the military. After a while, I got really good at being on my own and I had personal goals that I wanted to achieve. Having a girlfriend just wasn't a part of that lifestyle. I didn't think it was fair to have someone make sacrifices for the sake of my personal goals and I wasn't willing to give up the flexibility that single life afforded. I was able to take contracts with the military and travel without having to worry about who I impacted other than myself. And please don't get the wrong idea about 'the single life'. Everyone seems to think that means running around 'playing the field'. Believe me, I have not been on endless dates or engaging in short term 'go no where' relationships. I actually preferred solitude as it afforded me the flexibility I mentioned earlier without the added concern of having to worry about the impact on someone else.
Fortunately, life has stabilized, I've achieved many of the goals that I set out to achieve and I think I'm in a better position now to share, commit and make the sacrifices that go along with being in a relationship.

A little about me. My friends would say I'm a nice guy who is loving, caring, respectful, and love to laugh.
I believe in being faithful and treating people the way I would want to be treated. I expect the same in return. I'm easy going, pretty laid back and will try just about anything. On my time off work I enjoy golfing, quading, skiing, camping ( when I say camping I don't mean in a tent, I mean pulling my holiday trailer to a site LOL;), and doing just about anything that keeps me active. I like road trips and traveling. Oh ya! taking a trip to a hot climate and nice beach is a must at least once a year.
