Let's see, a bit about me...
I have a stable career, enjoy my job and like the people I work with. I work in a technical field at one of Calgary's many EPCs so I get to geek out on a computer all day. Luckily I like technology and can often be found gravitating towards stuff with blinky lights on it. If it's remote controlled and has blinky lights, even better.
I really enjoy doing DIY projects around my house. I guess I am one of those 'handyman' types. My most recent endeavour has been to rebuild my deck, which has been a lot of work but also very rewarding. Projects that involve power tools are a definite plus. I may possibly be guilty of buying a tool I don't actually need.
I like learning new things; this year I've been trying to become better at gardening. So far I've managed to keep the plant death toll to an acceptable level. Who knew that growing plants was so much work?
I enjoy travelling, both relaxing resort type vacations and "adventure" type vacations. The adventures are my favourite. Some of my favourite places, for various reasons, that I have been include Khao San Road in Bangkok, Angkor Wat, Munich, Amsterdam, and Auschwitz. I also really liked pretty much everywhere in Australia that I went.
I have kind of a dry sense of humour but I also laugh at clever absurd humour. I love the British classics such as Monty Python's Flying Circus and Fawlty Towers. I laugh at the cheesy puns in the movie "Airplane!" every time, even though I know they are coming. I enjoy TV shows like Arrested Development, Parks and Rec, and 30 Rock. I like to think that I have a pretty sharp wit but perhaps I am just a genius in my own mind.
I'm quite easy going and would like to meet someone who is also. I have a job where I get to be serious all day so someone who likes to goof around sometimes and have fun off hours would be great.
