I'm here for work. but so far the experience has been so-so to say the least. I haven't really adjusted to the slow paced, nature loving lifestyle. I'm already adventurous given that I've trekked to a place I would have never thought of visiting, let alone working. Chances are that I'm ready to move onto my next adventure, which preferably will be back east.
I am a mixed race (Euro/Caribbean) university educated, independent, professional male living near downtown. I'm what you'd consider a true urban creature. I enjoy large cities but also love to get away to a beach. The serene calming sounds of water is just enjoyable. I don't own a car (yes I have a driver's license) and don't need one considering where I live. I'm not about status symbols. Most Edmontonians don't get it. I'm hoping that you do.
You can find me at sporting events cheering on my hometown sports teams (GO TFC, Raptors, Leafs!), at a pub or lounge mingling with some friends, or at a cafe tweeting, blogging or just people watching. I'm a single Dad who has 2 little boys...they're wonderful and stay with me every other weekend, and live with their Mom the rest of the time. I'm in good shape, and try to keep fit through regular exercise. I grew up in an extremely sports filled environment...my Dad and Brother both being exceptional athletes. I had skates on my feet at 2, and I don't remember any weekend growing up not spent at the rink in the winter. I played on the Alberta Tennis team growing up, and was training for 2 hrs every day before school...I did Karate, played basketball, soccer, golf...and family ski trips were perennial every year. I would very much want to be with someone that stays active as well. The Gym's not for me, but if it's part of your life, I get it. I just purchased new cc ski gear, and am planning on skiing the 55km Birkie next year.
I have a good job and work in an office downtown that I enjoy. It's not my life though, and I have interests and friends that extend out of the workplace. Having been born and raised here, I have a lot of roots.

I love to travel and have spent time in Mexico (not the tourist spots), Thailand, Cuba, Hawaii and Italy. I lived in the UK for a year and had the opportunity to explore England, Scotland and Ireland. While there I developed an appreciation for public transportation and it is tough to beat a train ride through the English or Scottish countryside. I am a backpacking kind of guy and would only do 5 Star for a day or two before moving on to a BB or a tent :). Future trips would include Belgium, Germany, Turkey, Egypt and South America.

I love my job 99% of the time and 1% of the time I don't like what I do at all.

. I'm not sure I'm qualified to summarize myself, but I'll try. I'm alittle more than semi-retired, so I like to keep busy w/whatever? I like being there for my friends and family. I like to joke around, being too serious isn't for me. Laughter is cheap medicine, that's probably why I'm never ill, knock on wood. I like doin a wide range of activities (they change with new experiences). Hopefully I'll continue too keep learning about new things,places & people. Music has been a huge part of my life, as far back as I can remember. I play around w/a couple instruments. I enjoy sittin in w/friends that play regularly. On Sunday afternoon you won't find me in front of the idiot box watchin sports. You'll catch me out doing something. Recently I've gotten hooked on classic movies. A good story & acting is just as entertaining (if not more so) than stuff blowing up. I go for walks pretty much daily. Booooring eh? Sums er' up though.
