I work long hours and have a job I greatly enjoy. Most of my career has been in Toronto, but moved me to Calgary over four years ago now. The longer I spend here, the more I'm enjoying the place. The mountains and outdoor activities available are world class. Last spring friends and I stopped for food on the way out of town to Lake Louise. We're in ski gear and the guy in front of me in line is in golf shorts! This place has a LOT going for it.
I have so much to be grateful for, including top tier parents, though they live too far away. : ( And now that I've lived here for a few years, some outstanding friends.
Friends would probably describe me as a fun guy, works too hard, but plays hard too. I have very diverse interests from sports , to movies, to academics (I teach 1 Finance course a semester at the University), to reading, and of course to entertaining/socializing.
I laugh at lots of things, sometimes hysterically. From high brow humour of the Daily Show to the low brow humour of "Team America World Police" movie to the Tucker Max book I just finished,"Assholes Finish First."

Hope springs eternal! Besides the fact my workplace is heavily male and testosterone driven, I manage people, and dating at work is foolhardy. It's very complementary that friends (mostly female) are trying to set me up. Not sure if you've had the experience. It's problematic. I recommend avoiding it. You can end up in an awkward poorly matched situation and the friend that set you up is also disappointed.

Meet people from Canada. Been away from the dating scene for a few years now and recently found out that the on-line dating thing has gained lots of popularity so figured I'd give it a try. I would have to say that I'm basically a work hard, play hard kind of guy. I'm very open minded and would expect the same...we don't judge in my house! I am an engineer but not a train driver! I own my own business that requires a small amount of travel but also gives me alot of flexibility in my schedule. . I'm in my 30's and am busy with my job and find it hard to find time to meet someone.
