Meet someone special from Alberta, Canada. I love to do things, pretty much anything is better than just waiting for something to happen. I'm happy reading a book, taking a nap, going to the store to get jobs done, playing some road hockey, whatever. I'm not happy sitting around with nothing to do, or sunbathing, or watching a lot of TV. I'm a great planner and enjoy friendships and relationships with other planners. I'm fairly relaxed about it though, everyone has a different way of planning and organizing their life. Not better, just different. But if you like to know about and schedule things a few weeks out then you'll love making plans with me.
I'm looking for someone who likes to eat healthy and stay fit. OK so that's not very original (and poor grammar) but it's what's become important to me in my own life and something I want to share with my partner. I would love to pick up some new activities and hobbies, except tennis and golf. You can keep those as special "you time".
My philosophy on life is that it's better together and a willingness to show up is better than expertise. I'm a great team player both in life and in sports. About the only thing I don't do with a positive attitude or any enthusiasm is home computer tech support and yardwork.
Nine random things about me:
I enjoy cooking and singing and will do both in public but I'm a shy dancer. I like jazz music (the easy listening or big band style, not the crazy artistic stuff), YouTube and trampolines but I'd pay someone to do my yardwork if I could. I sometimes go the extra mile for strangers and I buy a quarter of my energy from "green" energy sources.
Having a quick meet up and a chat while walking the dog or having lunch is way different from a date, right? Good, I think so too. :)

Things that interest me are going out to movies, or staying home and watching movies. Drinking red wine or beer by an open fire pit. Trail riding on mountain bikes, (not paved trails). The occasional trip to somewhere warm (kind of taking a liking to Mexico). To be honest, I am not that much of a dancer. I like to dance, but I have two left feet! Things that people don't know about me, I am not a big fan of when two different types of food touch. Oh, and I can ride a unicycle!

. I'm recently separated, and am easing my way back into the world of "dating"; I'm not necessarily ready to jump back into something serious, but am one who believes that true love can be right around that next corner; keep your options open, lightning could strike. I am a year into sobriety, however am quite comfortable being in a social drinking enviroment, and if my new gal pal likes to enjoy the odd glass of wine during a nice dinner out, or a couple beers at the pub, I am cool with that....my days of hanging out in the nights clubs are in the past. However, I do still enjoy catching a game in pub, having some laughs, a little food, and just hanging with good friends, and of course the right woman is always included. I have 3 wonderful daugthers, and they are both the accomplisment I am most proud of, and what I am most grateful for in my life. My eldest is 21 and going into her 4th year of university; my two little ones are 6 and 4 and are a huge part of my life. At present all 3 are livingback in the ole homeland, Saskatchewan...so yes I am a Rider fan, but not a "wear a watermelon on my head"rider fan....maybe a few years ago, but I am a grown man now......mostly!! I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan....so any potential mate really can't be a Philadelphia Eagles fan.....I can live with the Giants/Redskins/49ers...but I drawn the line with the Eagles!!

. A little about me: I am an easy going, casual, single guy looking for a lady who is also easy going to make life more interesting. Like everyone, I have my eccentricities (records/music, ridiculous movies). I love dogs and can't imagine being without 'em. I love playing/practicing/watching football a lot (no, not the pointy ball/roided out men in tights Americant style, though that too is fun to play). And I meant "a lot" not "alot."
I like to think I am not shallow or materialistic - but am hung up on records. I do have a pretty good/sarcastic/cynical sense of humour, and am certainly not one to take myself too seriously as I am easy prey for making fun of! I enjoy hiking, walking the woofer(s), listening to music and every so often trying a new beer I have never had before, preferably warm.
I also enjoy going to record stores and perusing the racks looking for gems I may not have or missed (or need a second copy of...). We are blessed with terrible (and way over priced) record stores here in Calgaria, which leads to the inevitable perusing of "online" racks of records (or vinyl as all the modern folk call it), which is fun but has neither the same smell nor leaves the traditional record store grime on your fingertips! But the best thing about online record stores is the shocking lack of hipster doofuses you have to put up with when perusing!
Since I am rather skeptical about all things, I don't fall for "the one for me/meant to be" mythology that has been hammered at us courtesy of talk shows and hollywood. What if "the one" died ten years ago and you never crossed paths? Are you doomed to live out this short life without any happiness? I do think relationships are challenging, require lots of flexibility and are really works in progress. Common interests (some) need to be there and also differences (I pretty sure I don't want to be with the female me!). Differences can be terribly interesting.
Smoking is an issue for me - I don't tolerate it and no logical reason for it.
