Date people from Alberta, Canada. Ok here is a little about myself but this is not as easy as one thinks.
I enjoy the outdoors, good food, good conversation, reading and learning new things. Life is too short and there are so many things to see and do. Fall is my favorite time of year, spicy foods and the mountains. I cook and love all music....except punk and rap. Traveling has always been something that I enjoy especially off the beaten path. I have an older house I love working on and fixing up.
Definitely my kids are my first priority , I love spending time with them and teaching them new things. They are my best friends.
I do run 3-4 times a week and try to stay active and fit. Hiking is a favorite past time and flyfishing. I enjoy all types of sports and love to mountain bike and snowboard.
I can be quiet and kinda shy at times but do like to socialize also. Laughter is always a good thing. I'm open to new experiences and learning new things, life is all about continuing to grow. Finding an honest real women that knows who she is is who I would like to meet. One that is not scared to say it how it is.
My friends call me "Stan" due to getting this nickname from campers when I was a Forest Ranger (Lol).

You name it.. I will try.. Life is short and I am here to live life, not let it pass me by.
Funny Story:
I went back to my home town (I was born in the tropics overlooking the Carribean Coast) and I am very scared of heights, so what do I do? I climb up a side cliff to the top of a waterfall, look over the edge thinking I can jump, then chicken out only to realize that climbing down would break my neck because the rocks are slippery.. so I close my eyes and jump.. WHAT A RUSH!! Will I do it again? Depends if I find an adventurous lady to jump with.. hehehe
My Quirks:
- Clean Sheet Day.. it happens every Sunday
- Use the washer and hang everything, my clothes look new all the time
- Iron my shirts when going out because I don't like being wrinkled, I don't iron jeans.. what for?
- Hard to make me blush, but occasionally get misty eyed for touching moments or movies and show off my sensitive side
- I will cook, wash dishes, clean the bathroom and cut the grass, but I HATE vacuuming, dusting, mopping or weeding
- I go into a showhomes to take a look around, dream a little bit and get some decor ideas for my place
My Goals:
- After 10 years I am selling my renovation company to re-join the workforce, I'm a people person, love being around people
- Want to take some college or university courses for self advancement, knowledge and experience
- I will retire in 15 years or less, I have a plan and nothing to stop me from achieving it
- Hope to find a nice woman who knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to find her man
- Travel more, work less and still keep my goals intact
Pet Peeves:
- Those who make a date, confirm it, then have the nerve to text an hour before for a rain-check or not show up (NOT COOL)
- People who mislead or show up under false pretences.. be truthful, I don't understand the need to lie? (be honest)
- Those who seek "chivalry" but do nothing to reciprocate.. a man likes to "feel special" too (ladies good info to have)
- Moochers, coming to a party, pretending to pay, leaving and letting everyone else foot your bill (NOT COOL)
