Date people from Alberta, Canada. So this year was starting out like so many before it and then the universe decided to throw a curveball. So I’m swinging for the bleachers hoping for a hit. I am starting out in a new house in a new town, meeting new friends, starting a new job, how about you come along and join me for the ride. I guarantee it wont be boring and there will be some great laughs along the way.
How about we start with some reasons I might be fun to have around. I can fix stuff. I can build stuff. Animals like me. I can dance, at least the kinds where I get to hold you close. I don’t really understand the fist pump. I have been wealthy and I’ve been poor, it seems both have their advantages. I’ve been in management and I’ve been the grunt, so I know how to take orders and give them. I like to cuddle and since I have some extra padding I’m comfortable and warm. I can cook and if you find the recipe even better. I can mix a mean cocktail and I know how to open a bottle of wine. I am a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none so I’m always leaning and never stuck in a rut. I want to make you happy, that will make me happy. All ups and downs along the way considered. I am sure there is more and if you are interested just ask, I’m an open book. There is more to the story.
I’m a pretty easygoing guy. I’m up for almost anything. I like going out and being active but the couch also holds a certain appeal. I like to laugh and have a good sense of humour that runs the gamut from the silly pun to the highly inappropriate. I do know when to use which and I have a filter that sometimes works. I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy but I do own a tie, ok more than one, and I know how to tie it. So we could go somewhere nice and I wouldn’t embarrass you. I like food. From the drive through to five star dining. I’m not really that adventurous when it comes to food but I could be convinced to try new things. I like all kinds of music but I’m mostly a classic rock and country guy. I enjoy all forms of live performances from concerts to plays to Vegas shows. I really enjoy movies. I’m not much for going to the theater though, as I have my own (remember the jack of all trades thing). It works better because I can pause the show to fill your wine glass and make you popcorn. I know I’m not as spontaneous as I could be so a kick in the butt might be called for every now and then, it’s ok I don’t bruise easily. I am a work in progress, not perfect in any way but pretty darn good in a lot of ways. Lets make each other better.
It seems a lot of us here didn’t get the fairy tale happy ending we thought we would. I’m not going to let that effect our time together. What happened happened. It made us who we are today and will shape who we will be tomorrow. Lets kick the universe in the tail and have a great time doing it.
