Date a man from Alberta, Canada. I guess that this is the place where I need to tell you all the amazing things about me so you'll be falling all over yourself to meet me for coffee....not sure I can do that even on a good day....but here it goes.
Finding someone who can keep up is a problem.....I'm a 6'2" mature, athletic, fairly toned and fun loving guy. I love my children, my friends, sports, quiet times and fun get-togethers. My faith is very important to me so there are certain areas of my life I won't compromise on but I hope that could be said about you too. I bike, hike, roller blade, play hockey and generally like to stay active. I do my best to eat well but I do enjoy the drive through once in a while. I love to have fun and laugh but I also like to have real conversations about real issues. I don't like controlling people and tend to move away from them quickly. I'm fairly easy going, reliable and down to earth. I do like to cook and eat, I like a good desert once in a while....okay....more than once in a while. I like to watch movies, read and I'm able to just relax and hang out.
Now, I do have three children ages 6, 7, & 8. They are the joys of my life and they stay with me sometime. I would like to have more children if the right person came across my path and I would accept someone with children already. This is important so if you're not picking up what I'm laying down then please do not respond.
Also - my profile says that I'm 44 years old....that's not true....I'm 51 but I can't figure out how to change this area. I have a bit of a kid still in me so at times I can be goofier (did I spell that right) than a 40 year old....at times and in the right situation I can be just a big kid.
Finally, I don't photograph well....especially self-portraits so I'm sorry for the bad photos.

A little about me.... I work in the travel industry which suits my lifestyle perfectly. Travel is very important to me and has helped mold me into the person who I am. I enjoy playing softball and tennis. I like to hike, golf, run and bike ride in the summer. Scuba dive when on vacation, downhill or cross-country ski, and skate in the winter. I enjoy being active, but don't mind some downtime to balance things out. I am great with kids, but do not have any. I value the time I get to spend with my nieces and nephews as they get older.

Life moves very fast. If we don't stop and look around...we could miss it. I like being active, getting outdoors for activities, hiking and sports. Life is too short to sit around. I can hike mountain trails and sit and laugh, sometimes both at the same time. Or, I can enjoy a relaxing time downtown (but not at rush hour). A compliment I have received is that I am "down to earth." I can laugh at myself when required.
Let's be honest - meeting someone of the opposite gender is easier in your twenties. We have all lived life and we all know what we want or think we want - except now compromise is likely even more important than it was then. Prince Charming? Cinderella with a career and a perfect figure? hmmmm Some people age well, some not so much, in my opinion it is best to fight it (almost)every inch of the way. Look for light and lightheartedness. Lightheaded? Lie down for a minute lol. I am pretty open - my "must have's and maybe have's" are flexible - in fact they are somewhat elastic.
I work in one of the major resource business sectors in the city, indoors (thank god), cool in the summer (when we get it) and warm in the winter. I worked in more labour intensive areas while going though university - it builds character you know - I always joked I could use a bit less character : ), so my view of the world is pretty balanced.
Decent looking, tall and I work out as much as I can - no pain, no gain - (I have also have hair) with a sense of humour (wacky comedy is good) who sees the good in life and looks forward to every day - especially when it does not start before 9 am (I must mean weekends). I am not wanted by the authorities in any jurisdiction although the parking authority often surprises me at revewal time.
Optimistic but quite realistic about life and people, observant, analytical and intelligent. Positive and persevering. Passionate and affectionate. I can't even spell obnoxious : ) (oh, just did).
I find myself very busy with work and sports a lot of the the time, but if I have a good reason, I can make the time for what is imporant, or heck, just to have a laugh or a relaxing time. Work and career is part of our lives, but that makes down time and how we spend it important, actually very important. .
I can participate in an interesting conversation about the world, follow the news and business on a daily basis and analyze and form my own opinions, don't have a temper (well, occasionally in bad traffic I honk), hold open doors (never thrown a raincoat over a puddle so far though), can buy dinner, don't use drugs or excessively drink, I dress pretty well and shower more than the Olympic swimming team!
We all need kindness and respect on a daily basis and some days more than others.
Life is short. What opportunities or chances will we wish we had taken? I suppose we should tke a chance sometime a glass of wine, who knows.
I have children sometimes, but not all of the time. Enjoy your day.
