I've been single for a few years now,and it has been an extraordinary journey of self discovery,of what a person is truly capable of in the face of adversity.Healing over a past relationship is of paramount importance to be able to bring your "A" game to the next relationship.
Past relationships have been described as "baggage".The reality is,they are life building skills.Most of us out here have them,in one form or another.I would rather be involved with someone thta has went through some adversity,learned from it,moved on,than lived a safe,sheltered life.

I try to live a healthy, fit, active lifestyle and would appreciate the same in a partner. In the winter I love to ski and travel. Date someone special from Alberta, Canada. iAbout Me: Wow! I feel like a used car salesman but seriously, this is definitely different.
The first and most important thing about me is that I have 2 of the most amazing kids I dad could have asked for. My son is 17 and graduating and my daughter is completing 10th grade. They mean the world to me and I will always be there for them. Proud is not even close to how I feel about them. They are kind, caring, respectful, loving, fun, hard working and just awesome young adults.
As for me, I love to be active. That can mean anything from going for a drive to the mountains, to working out at the gym. I'm very social and have some of the best friends a person could have in their life. I love doing things with my friends and also love helping them with their projects around the house or yard. It's the best when the project is complete and you sit on the deck, enjoying that cold beer or nice glass of wine and the occassional cigar.
I love sports! Played competative basketball to the college level, fastball in Maritime Senior Mens league, pick-up hockey, and have been an avid golfer for the past 25 years. I enjoy biking, hiking and especially if you mix in a stop for a refreshment. :)
I love my Maple Leafs and have heard every joke going so anything you say will not be new to me. :) I'll go to my grave as a loyal supporter of the Leafs. Calgary is definitely my second choice as I loved Lanny MacDonald and Dougie Gilmour, both played for the Flames and the Leafs.
Who I'm looking for! Someone who is kind, fun loving, loves to socialize and feels comfortable in a crowd but also likes to enjoy a nice dinner and wine at home. Someone who loves to do family things, celebrating all and any occasion. Someone who is affectionate as you will not meet more of a romantic / affectionate person. I love to play sports and will tackle anything. So if you are into sports that's awesome. Someone who likes good food, good wine and good conversation and company.
As for kids. As I've already indicated, I love kids, and the person I'm lucky enough to share my life with will know that I would treat their children as my own, meaning I would be there for them a well. My actions will speak volumes.

. Hello all! this is my first venture into the wonderful world of on-line relationships so . . . .here we go. A little about me, although my picture does not do me justice, you may notice the striking resemblance to Brad Pitt. Don't be embarrassed at the confusion, I get that a great deal. Admittingly only from my mother and my sister, who I have to pay for the feedback. Nonetheless, it's what I hear.

So, who is the real man behind the smoldering good looks you ask. Here it is, all humility aside. I am a gregarious, fun-loving person who loves to laugh. I find joy in most things and am an eternal optimist. I truly believe that positive thinking begets positive results. I am neither a "glass half full" nor a "glass half empty" kind of guy. I'm more like a "Hey, I'll get the next round" . I find fun in most things and take life as an opportunity to grow and learn. If I were to have a motto, it may well be "Carpe Diem". While I understand how corny that's sounds, I do believe we need to seize everyday as if it was our last. My mother, the saint, God rest her soul, was asked to write something when she was on her death bed with cancer, just to prove how coherent she was. What did she write? "It's a beautiful day." and she's not even a U2 fan. I've taken that attitude into every moment since . . . or at least I try.
My passions are my family, my friends and my work. I have three beautiful children who are the center of my life and I adore. They have wonderful personalities and never cease to amaze me. My friends are the most amazing group of people you'd ever want to meet. They're fun, intelligent and seem to think I am worthy of their love. Go me!! Education drew me in because of my love for children and learning. I love being in a leadership role because I get to work with teachers and kids - what a joy.
So, that's me condensed into a few sentences. What do I want from this site? Sheesh - good question. I hope to meet someone to get old with, to laugh with, to ski with and to celebrate everyday with. Corny - but true.
