Although I have only a few friends, they may tell you that I am somewhat shy at first (reserved), a bit stubborn, but intelligent, generous, respectful, patient, tolerant, loyal and fair. Not photogenic either (!). I just asked a friend and she said "You're a fun guy", I said thanks for the mushroom comment! :-) As I value my friends, I like to treat them whenever I can to a good meal and excellent wine. I value their honesty and respect their accomplishments in life.
I think I can be reasoned with and you can change my mind with the right arguments during a polite conversation. That is to say I am not argumentative, but rather conciliatory, and will look at all angles of a given topic. I don't think I should have an opinion on every topic, and dislike opinionated people. That is to say everyone can have one's own opinions, but must be able to back them up with solid arguments.
Clubs and bars are not my favorite scene, too noisy; I prefer a good soft ambiance in a nice restaurant where people don't have to raise their voices to be heard across the table, but even prefer BBQ or dinner at home (I can cook a good meal or two).
I feel I can adapt to a variety of situations, and even maybe survive... I need to find motivation to get into good shape again, I used to be physically very active (I miss exercising regularly) and would like a partner that is not adverse to considering good long walks (I once visited Florence all mostly by foot), get into a routine run, etc. I am financially independant, d&d free.
