It's been a while since I have had a relationship (5yrs). In the last year I’ve lost 35lbs, now I’m at 200lbs, my head is shaved. I’m currently looking into braces so I may be a metal mouth soon. Personal grooming is important, getting enough sleep, taking care of teeth, staying clean and healthy are priorities for me.
I keep in shape by lane swimming most days, play mens hockey, hunting in the fall with my brother. In the summer, golfing, basketball, tennis and anything else I have the opportunity to do. I workout at home most days with P90X. I separated in 2006 and since then have been focused on my kids (being a dad) and getting myself back in shape, mentally and physically and financially. I am somewhat shy to start, takes a while to get to know someone I think.
I also think it's important to pay attention to details about people, really enjoy learning. My friends would say I'm a very good listener and easy to talk to. When "going out" I prefer (like) to pay, but can't always as I live on a budget...
Generally I think I'm easy going... but also have an "opinion" on most things... and don't mind conversations discussing our differences of opinion.
I'm looking for;
A positive attitude and smile says a lot. Saying what you mean (by being direct) is good. Women that take care of themselves are a plus, health, fitness, intellectually are also more attractive to me. Clean teeth and longer hair are things I notice (and like) but with the hair if it suits you then I’m sure it will work – I have none so you will have to be ok with that. I think it's important for people (anyone) to have some goals written down - something they are working towards, and be committed and "driven" in your own life. I also think that simple/natural is good. A good sense of humour is important. I'm not religious but have no problems with different views than mine but won't be "converting" to anything at this point.
Just be yourself, be genuine and open.
