I am originally from Nova Scotia, born and raised there. Spent my youth trying to figure how to get out of that province and now wishing I was still there. Funny, got to be careful what you wish for, it just might come true. Joined the military and got posted to Germany, met my wife there and had three of my kids born there. Came back to Canada, got separated from the wife and gained custody of three young children. Spent several years as a single parent and then got posted to Wainwright, AB. Lived there for 5 years, met a girl there and had my last child by her. Got out of the Army and moved to Wetaskiwin, my girlfriend and I split up and here I am.
My interests include scuba diving, reading, computers, am going to learn how to sail this summer, home renos, love camping, started to learn how to brew beer and wine, billiards ( haven't played in years), would love to finish my pilot training some day, Hopefully this autumn, I will take a sailing cruise and learn how to navigate and handle a sailboat on open waters.
Future plans, long term is to plan and work towards a comfortable retirement where I have my home and a sailboat. Go almost anywhere I want then and have the world at my feet. Definitely, grandkids and family will be involved. My kids, except for one, are all older now and have lives as their own. I have been placed on advisor status instead of full time parent.
My perfect mate would be someone who is goal oriented, supports herself, preferably long hair, looks after herself, she would have to be open minded and not afraid to try new things, has to like the water and a real bonus would be if she could sail.
