First off, what keeps me grounded and humble are my family and friends. I am not originally from this area so getting away to see family is very important.
I love to spend time outdoors, especially in the Mountains but on a nice sunny day a run or bike in the river valley is always a great alternative. South Eastern BC is usually where I migrate to and because of a great career I get the chance often.
In the summer I try to mountain bike, road bike, swim, water ski, golf, hike and any thing else that has me outside and active. The bonus of great day in the mountains with friends would be the stunning sunsets, warm nights while enjoying a glass or two of red wine....
I have also recently started a new challenge and enjoy training for and competing in triathlon and mountain bike races. I am by no means a podium threat but the feeling of finishing is pretty amazing. I have even escaped from Alcatraz...a fun story!
Another huge part of my life is working on renovations. Either on my own house, friends houses or working a little on the side away from my full time career, I love turning old into new again.
Travel is also an important part of my life. Seeing and learning from other cultures and people is very exciting. There is nothing like getting on a plane and getting off on the other side of the world. I have been to some very humbling places and in the future hope to see more with someone that has similar interests.
