I am absolutely in love with life. I haven't always done things the easy way or the right way, but I am truly blessed with what I have been given, what I have learned, what my experiences have taught me, and I am glad that I am where I am today. I have had my share of ups and downs, but that's what life is all about. I don't think that happiness is a destination, it can be found along the journey.
I have three pretty awesome kids which are the best part of me. They have got my spirit, sass, and soul for sure! We love to spend time at the lake, at hockey games, with horses, and anywhere else that is outside. We are pretty active and busy, and I tend to find myself running in about three different directions at any given time! I love sports...as a spectator most of the time! I do enjoy going for a walk or run or going to the gym for some "me" time though. Hockey, ball, golf, basically anything sporty catches my interest. I like to stay busy, but sometimes I have to remind myself to slow down and just enjoy the day around me, usually those are the days where we head to the lake to get away from everything and just relax.
I love my career, I take great pride in the work that I do, and I am constantly challenging myself to grow and learn and expand my knowledge. I believe life is a constant ebb and flow, and it's all about growth and not being apathetic.
I am somewhat cautious when it comes to relationships, I haven't had the greatest experiences which have made me a little gunshy, but at the same time they have taught me who I want to find. I have learned that guys who say "I'm not most guys" are just that...most guys. I appreciate integrity, honesty. strength, and kindness. I put a lot of effort into my relationships, and I appreciate when someone reciprocates that effort. It means the world to me to have someone write me a cute note on a post-it, call me to tell me that they were thinking about me, or let me know that they just saw something that reminded me of them. To me, that is true romance.
I can come across as hard or standoffish, and I sometimes don't let people get close to me, but I am actually very soft and sweet and I have feelings (I suppose that's a typical girl!). I don't like harsh words or conflict or yelling, I appreciate it when someone can have a good discussion about any issues that arise. I don't go to bed angry, actually I don't very often get angry, usually my feelings get hurt first
I am the type of person that is okay with being alone sometimes, but I don't like being lonely. I think those are two very different things. I am not clingy, and I am okay with people in a relationship doing things on their own as long as it isn't to get away from each other!
As I said before, I am completely in love with life and I am grateful for where I am at today, and I am looking for someone to have that with me as well.
