I recently became a certified joiner (professional woodworker), and although I love woodworking my career is not my main focus in life. I am the type of person who never wants to disappoint anyone, and would do anything to make people happy. This is something that I am actually working on changing, because there were no limits before, and now I am learning there is a difference between actually helping someone out who needs it, and when someone is taking advantage of you. I use to work well over 100 hours every two week, just to please the boss, or customer, and now I am putting my life first, and have no problem declining unrealistic expectations. Having money to do the things you enjoy is great, but you need to have the time to do those things you love. I feel its important for balance in life, and I am looking for someone who understands that.
I am a very active person, and enjoy spending my free time outside. The winter is over, but there is still tons of snow up on the mountains, and I will probably try to go play in the snow as much as I can before it all melts away. I love hiking around in the back country with snowshoes, and dropping lines on my snowboard. I love snowboarding, but I am not big on crowds and hour long lift lines. I would rather go somewhere more remote or take to the back country. One of the reasons I enjoy snowboarding so much is because it is a chance to get away from all the congestion, relax and breath some fresh air. Asides from snowboarding, one of my other passions is live is sailing. I enjoy it for many of the same reasons I enjoy snowboarding. It fulfills my need for adventure, and is a change to get away. I enjoy spending time on, or near the water. I grew up in the country on the shores of Lake Huron in northern Ontario. My childhood was spent barefoot on the beach, and during the hot days of summer there is no place I would rather be.
I am a positive person who enjoys being with other positive people. I care about the environment. I am easy going, honest, loyal, caring and a good listener. I would like to think of myself as a gentleman, with great patience and a love for life. I am the furthest thing from a bar star with �bling’ and hair gel. I don’t rev my engine at red lights, have a mocho attitude, or curse unnecessarily. I am the type of guy that will fix things before throwing them away or, a least attempt to. Ha Ha Ha.
I am looking for someone who loves the outdoors, enjoys nature, who is not afraid to be themselves and has positive attitude.
