Date men from Canada / British Columbia / Alta Lake, 42 year old

Date single man from Alta Lake, Canada. The two most important things to me are my family and friends, and I hope that it is the same with you. I have made my career and traveling my passions, and that has lead to some decent adventures. I was a doctor in the Peace Corps between internship and residency, and spent three months sailing the South Pacific after. I have lived with the Yanomami Indians of Brazil. I have been to Africa three times, so far, camped with the Masai, climbed Kilimanjaro, watched a lioness take down a wildebeest, bicycled all over Morocco and hung out in the souk in Marrakech learning Arabic for a month. I’ve spent a few months in russia, and learned russian living on a farm way north of Moscow. I’ve motorcycled Bali for a month learning indonesian and buying art for my house, and lived in Tokyo for a month learning japanese, and as roadie on a music tour. I bicycled Vietnam and Thailand. I traveled to Bandah Aceh to provide relief after the tsunami, and experienced the second earthquake myself. Cars and trucks in an amazing metal-on metal race five across on a two lane road trying to get to high ground. Had no car, so I just watched from the side with my dust mask and waterproof strobe light handy. If you would send your wine back to the kitchen because it has a fleck of cork in it, you probably would not have fun with me.
I’ve been fly fishing and scuba diving all over. I’ve been a pilot since high school, which has been handy over time. I lived in Switzerland as a teen. I spent two weeks in Bs As last January, and actually did learn to Tango better, and I recently went to Iran for the first time, and probably speak farsi better than the average man on this website. That trip was with my parents. They’re very serious travelers compared to me, and are the two most interesting adults I have ever met. My brother and sister are awesome too.
I gave away my TV years ago, thinking I would replace it if I missed it, and I didn't miss it. I worked like a sled dog in college, med school and residency, and now have a fun specialty to show for it. I get plenty of vacation time now to make up for the time I spent buried in the books.
I like art, and supporting the arts. I like community and supporting the community. I’m involved with MiraMed which I hope you will Google. I like music, and am a musician myself. Awesome if you can play something already. I will teach you if you can’t.
I like playing sports, but don’t like watching all that much. I’m a serious swimmer, but also like skiing, hoops, soccer and tennis. Hiking and show shoeing too. I play squash and was in an international tournament once, although I certainly didn’t last very long. Ha ha. Like really short time. OMG.
Some things about me, that I hope you’ll share: I am nice to strangers, I am friendly and a good listener. I am easy going. I have a nice sense of humor, slightly self deprecating. I get along great with kids by listening to them and treating them like little adults. I take good care of my friends. I respect others. I take really good care of the environment. I never put other people down. I realize that I need both community and spirituality to be happy, and I do the work to maintain both.
Me: Kind, smart, resourceful, work-hard-play-hard type, hilarious, pilot, musician, athletic, appreciative, great listener, nice looking, great dancer, great cook, modest.
What would you do in life if you could do whatever you wanted?
I’d love to hear your story. Please write to me next time you’re at your computer. What? That’s right now? Ahh, well then, just go for it. Y guarda esa sonrisa chica bella.
