Date men and women from Canada / British Columbia / Anvil Island, 50 year old

Date single man from Anvil Island, Canada. blech.....can't I do this tomorrow? I think I hate writing about myself about as much as I hate having my picture taken. As you can see by the plethora of shots I have posted here.
I'm a musician, amateur luthier and audio engineer.
I realize the point of these bios is to paint the rosiest most-est positive picture of yourself and your life....I'm not going to do that. I'm like the majority of you out there living life the best i know how. Often I stumble, sometimes I prevail.
I'm not going to go on about trying to live life to the fullest because seriously who does that? I think that sometimes in this forum people try to be the person they wish they were and perhaps not the person they truly are. If you are in fact out there living life to the fullest (or what you believe to be) then who am I to judge.
I'm probably just jealous.
I love guitars...I really do. I love the way they look, feel and even smell. I love the sound of an amp warming up and the sound of the cable being plugged in.
If I have nothing to do that's exactly what I do.
I haven't really had a chance to do much travelling and I would like to at some point.
I have however been to New York and would love to go back again.
I'm reading constantly.
I've been told I can be quite funny...sometimes in a snarky way....sorry.
I'm coming up on 50 and am feeling the need to mix things up again so that's what I'm planning now.
So that's me in bullet point form I'm sure I'll add more later.
I'm kind, empathetic, a good listener, maybe a little quiet at first but still waters run deep I suppose.
I’m looking for someone who is kind, sincere, open and likes to live a reasonably healthy life style (without going overboard). Some one who is also interested in the arts would be nice but that’s no deal breaker. Trying to suss out someone through a written profile is pretty damned hard so I would like to use this process to make some new friends and see what happens from there. Hopefully we’ll both find what we’re looking for.
