I'm proud of...putting the pieces together and leading an awesome full filling life. Having a great relationship with all those in my life, and raising two great teenagers who aren't lost in the chatter of being teens. How do I know they are great...simple, they chose Betty over Veronica. My sons are raised to mind their manners, to hold the door for little old ladies while wishing them a nice day, to never ever litter, and to never ever ever ever spit in the presence of a woman. That's just pure death sentence type stuff...or worse, having the Ipod confiscated!
Bit more on me...I work at maintaining a nice, clean and efficient home (males interpretation and yes the toilet paper holder is full and the seat is down!), really dig gardening (I can pull the weeds and you can plant), and enjoy cooking and entertaining. The fine china and linen get well used.
My definition of success isn't just a bulging bank account or a shiny car, but includes intensity and real honesty (not drinking Lucky and shooting at stop signs!), doing the right thing when no one is looking, paying it forward at the Tim's drive through, paying for broke teenagers groceries in the line up, being able to dream while lying in the dark, being able to listen to myself while I'm in the dark, and just plain trying hard at everything. Scary stuff...I like to embark on those journeys also.
Where am I going???... pretty clear on that.
Think adventure (Kazakstan not Mazatlan yuck yuck yuck), a real relationship, acreage w a long winding driveway, a weathered fence, a dog, possibly a horse (stay outa the kitchen pal), a wood stove would be nice, a veranda to entertain guests on with long stories and cold drinks (lemonaid or martini's both work just fine), a big garage for my bikes and skiis and what ever interesting stuff you bring along, and one of those cool sit on riding mowers like the parks people have. I'm willing to take turns.
What doesn't turn my crank? Thats easy. Chinese smorgasbords and all Inclusive resorts.
