Thanks for stopping by to check out my profile. My job does not make it easy for me meet a partner, that is why i am on this site. Age is just a number. I don't feel like i am 57 years old. I always get surprises when people ask how old i am, and i tell them my age. Most answer, no way do i look my age. Having said that i would like to find someone who is younger than i am. If you look younger than your age, by all means contact me. When i first filled out the profile i said i wanted to find someone in the Lower Mainland, but since then i have give it some more thought and the Edmonton area would also good for me. As i spend just as much time in Edmonton as i do in Chilliwack.
About me. Driving takes up all of my time. That does not mean i don't have some free time, or make free time when i feel like it. I like my job, get to travel and be every day in a different place. Also there is no boss to tell me what i can and cannot do. I call the office once a day to tell them where i am and i go about my business. I value honesty and trust above all else, if that is not in a relationship
everything else does not matter. If you like bars and night clubs then we have a problem. Also if you want a snappy dresser that is no me. What you will get is someone who knows what he wants and where he is going. I have a European value system. I dont need someone to change me, but modification wont hurt me either. What is very important to me is my health. I will leave it at that for now till i find someone and then you will get all the details, why it is so important to me. I have come a long way as far as personal growth goes. I don't have any baggage, and to find someone who does not have any baggage now a days is asking for a miracle. As long as you have a well balanced life i am OK with that. I know several people where the husband is on the road and the wife is at home, or works. There relationship works just fine. The key is communication. Whith all the technologies available today, there is no reason not to communicate. To really get to know me would take a book and then some. I don't consider myself a special person, just not as shallow as some men are. You will be hard pressed to find one with my qualities.
I did not know what i would write when i redid this profile. There are several ways to write a profile. I could just say the usual things that are in every profile that you read online. One thing that i will say you must be OK with, me not seeing you every day. That is probably a good thing, time away makes the heart grow founder. I do like to cuddle kiss and hold hands. Touching is important, in more ways then one. I am the kind of man who, if there is something that interests me i read about it and learn all i can about it. That means to find out what makes a women tick. I might not have a university degree, but my knowledge is from the school of hard knocks.

After reading the heartfelt, and often humours, stories from you gentlemen it seems to me that most of everyone, myself included, are looking for the same thing... someone who knows who they are, has a sense of humour, would like to travel near and far, be spontaneous, that special someone to share the second half of their life with, but most of all someone who knows what integrity means and looks like. Friends and family are very important, particularly grandchildren if you are blessed to have them... they do keep you young!
Now comes the hard part... something about me. After many years of raising my children I am starting to get to a place where I can focus a bit more on me. I would like to be "spontaneous," but with my job and two almost grown sons at still at home I find "planned spontaneity""works best. I did try skiing in my young days, but after landing in the snow too many times to count I couldn't find the fun in that. :( I do like to be active so this spring I'm going to learn how to play tennis! I haven't had the opportunity to travel as much as many of you have ( some of your pictures are amazing), but I do have a list of places to see. I am more of a casual person most comfortable in "dressed-up jeans", but I know there is a a little black dress in the back of my closet ...somewhere! And I am happier finding something to do outside rather than spending the day in a mall.
I have been divorced many years and can stand on my own two feet, but don't always like it. It would be nice to have that special someone to share conversations with, and to lean on when the ground gets rocky underfoot. I have great neighbours who help me with things I can't repair, and give me the "look" after I put too much oil in the lawnmower!
I find it difficult talking about myself, but this should give you an idea of who I am...somewhat. I believe in friendship first, some common ground and the rest will be.
