I was born in Canada, then spend seven years in Germany, and then came back to Canada. Due to my formative years there and how close I am to family there I feel that being German is a large part of who I am.
Many things make me smile. I have the lucky fortune of enjoying really any activity I take part in. I will either truly enjoy it or will be able to amuse myself in other ways - people watching, etc. I am easily kept satisfied. When I fully laugh-out-loud it's usually due to something absolutely ridiculous.
My life has been very low-key lately. I'm in the final stages of finishing my CGA. I've been doing school on-and-off for some years and it's kept me pretty home-bound. I spend most of my time lately puttering around the house with the dog and cat or going out for a walk with the pup. I look forward to finishing school so I can get out of the house a bit more.
I'm at the point in my life where I feel reasonably satisfied with where I am in my life. The thing that I am missing is a person to share that life with. I'm not to the point where I'll settle just to have someone in my life - but I'm definitely keeping my eyes open for that person.
The person I'm looking for is confident and knows what they want to do with their life. He is either doing what he wants to do or is working towards that goal. Hopefully someone who likes to travel and is a bit better at me at finding reasons to leave the house.

I know you have dozens of profiles to read through, so I'll try and keep this as quick and painless as possible.
I recently moved to Chilliwack, and bought my first house (yay!). I've been learning a lot of things, most importantly mad DIY skills. I am also learning how to best grow veggies, fruit, and herbs, and it's going well so far.
I have a stable career, which I am about 5 years into now. I'm not after the big dollars, but more about making a difference in my community and environment, and the needs of those around me. I like the feeling of helping people, because at the end of the day, job satisfaction is something that you can't put a price tag on.
I work Mon - Fri, so on the weekends I can be a bit of a weekend warrior, heading out camping or taking on a project of some sort. I also like to head out on a spontaneous roadtrip, or even a day trip to the "big city", or have some friends over for a visit. I LOVE entertaining and having big laughs with great friends. In the evenings after work, I like to ground myself and decompress by walking, riding my sweet bike, or perhaps going over to the gym for a swim. I like going out for sushi or coffee as well with friends, to catch up or vent.
I consider myself to be a big hearted, easy going, and open-minded person. Lots of my growing up was done overseas in various countries, and I have still continued to travel. I have a curious mind and love to explore places, other cultures, and hear people's stories. They are so rich and colourful and have informed my world-view so much.
