Clearly I was not having a good day! I also apologize for the rant even if it was/is the truth! I would love to be in a relationship that is on equal footing. I want to share the cooking/cleaning, the conversations while we're cooking/cleaning. Or starting a campfire, or planning our next vacation. The truth is I want to to do these things (and others) with someone! I want to share what I know while learning about what someone else knows. Before you think --- needy ---, NO I am not. I just know what it is like to see something I've done through someone (they haven't done it before) else's eyes! I might not have parasailed/ziplined/paraglided if I hadn't heard/read about them! And YES, I have done all of these things! Okay, I'm not speaking clearly. I read on one member's site that he would like someone that is 'active and energetic but not necessarily an athlete'; that's me! I'm not a jock but I like sports, I like to 'dress up' but I am not a princess, I AM ME! And before you think I'm some sort of nutcase: Life's about fun! Yes we may have to work to earn money, but not everything is about money! A walk on a beach, thru a forest or up a mountain ---- the view, (TAKE A GOOD LOOK!) is what it's all about!
Another update: I have not 'joined' and will be taking a hiatus before I do. The reason being is that for the next month I will be too busy! I may have time to view profiles but NO time to meet. What makes me unique - attitude for one. Outlook on life for two. I am broadminded and very non-judgmental. Not afraid to get dirty, and am easy to talk to. Round table approach to problem-solving and pride myself on being a great listener with a big heart and always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder -- whichever is needed. Empathic and compassionate. I love football and enjoy attending most sporting events. Will even give a few of them a kick at the cat, if I've never done them before. Why not? We just might have a giggle or two. I also believe in participating in life, rather than watching it pass me by.
I am very affectionate and look for the same. PDA's are a way of life. Not you? Not "us" I guess.
Did I say I LOVE football? -- (CFL) and was actively involved in both junior and community league on the sidelines, so this just isn't a line. Other sports I would prefer to see live or in the company of good friends. Spending a day in front of the tv watching golf -- not me, sorry. Movies, theatre, concerts, oh yeah. When do you want to go?
I love learning new stuff, so if you wouldn't mind teaching me sailing for instance, restoring antique furniture, etc., I'd be open to it. Haven't traveled much and intend on changing that fact in the very near future, so I hope you have the same drive and curiosity about life and this amazing world.

You have to have "glue" in your make-up, or this isn't going to work. Please be ready for a relationship. Know what you want and are ready to commit to or deal with. Relationships take effort, and there will be hard times. You need to have the strength inside to buckle down and fight through the tough times and hang onto us. The best things in life are worth fighting for, and I think we'd be pretty damn special. I know. I've done it. And I expect nothing less from my partner.
