I'm your average easy-going, down-to-earth, fun girl. The kind who wears a nice dress and make-up as comfortably as she does jeans and a t-shirt. It just depends on what I'm doing at the time - I love dinner and a night out at the theatre as much as I enjoy spending the day reeling in a fish, or hiking local trails. I definitely do not fit into a 'mold.' I'm a little bit of a bohemian, meaning I believe that life is an amazing journey full of experiences just waiting to happen...
I am passionate about relationships with people - friends and family are very important to me, and I work hard at nurturing relationships. Once you get to know me I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I am fiercely loyal to those I'm close to. Taking care of others is something that comes naturally to me, and I love to cook and entertain for family and friends. With that said, I do also have an emotionally demanding job, and so my down time is a balance between quiet relaxation, and socialization.
My ideal partner is open-minded, communicative, and has a desire to be in a committed, intimate relationship. I'm not as interested in a 'laundry list' of qualities as much as I am the feelings I get when I'm with someone special. The 'I can't wipe the smile from my face' feeling, coupled with so much more....
Date people from British Columbia, Canada. I'm pretty much willing to try just about anything once. In the winter, I tend to disappear because it's ski season...and I need to ski. So whoever I'm with needs to either ski or snowboard....or be incredibly understanding. :) In the summer, my goal is to spend as much time as possible in either a tent or in the water. There's just something amazing about our province that we can have adventures year-round and I try to take advantage of that.
What else? I love to travel and see nothing wrong with hopping in the car and driving a couple hundred kilometers just to jump into a lake for a swim or maybe go for a crazy long drive just to buy a cup of coffee. I like walks on the beach but it would be more fun to try to surf in the water. Candlelit dinners are a neat idea too...except I'd probably accidentally set fire to the house (not to say that I'm accident-prone...things just happen). Overall, I enjoy life very much and am looking for someone who does too... Of course, if nothing else, I figure it never hurts to know more people who like to do fun stuff.
BTW, I have a child - a four year old son that I love more than anything in the world. So if you're writing to me and your profile says you don't want children, don't like children, eat them for breakfast...or maybe if you look like you're fresh out of jail (or that you're on your way there), please save us both some time....it's just not going to happen. :)
