Date women from Canada / British Columbia / Cumberland, 54 year old

Date a woman from Canada. I love life! I'm where I want to be and I'm living every day! I've had ups and downs but I've come out on top - better, stronger and happier. My life is great the way it is but every so often I think about how nice it would be to share it with someone special. I keep busy all the time. I'm a nurse working fulltime in the community. I've always loved my work but I also like to volunteer in my community. I'm looking forward to retirement in a few years. I can hardly wait to spend more time on my latest hobby - metalwork! I'd love to entertain more, garden more, putter more, travel more. I'd rather be outside than inside but I do have a domestic side and I love to cook. My home is important to me. I've always got decorating and landscaping projects on the go. Are you ever really done when you're a home owner?
I day-hike most weekends but I'd love to do some longer hikes. I have a new-to-me motorhome that I've been exploring the island in. I think boogie boarding at Long Beach is the most fun I've ever had! My dog is family. She's great company and loves camping.
You know who you are. You're someone who is happy in life. You are a humanitarian and care about the welfare of others. You enjoy the company of other people. Your friends and family are important to you. You're happy spending time in the company of children (even though I don't have any), and pets (because I do). You have a love of nature and the outdoors. You like to participate in the activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer such as; hiking, camping, kayaking, skiing, and anything else outdoors. Music is part of your soul. You love live music of all kinds, music festivals and live theatre. You look after yourself and your possessions. You love trying new things. You are spontaneous. Your dreams are large and you're not afraid to reach for them. You're responsible for your work, your well-being and your happiness.

Meet someone special from Canada. The only "baggage" I carry is for travel. Much water has flown under the bridge and life is too short to carry around the negative baggage. I am a "half-full" type of woman, who realizes that for life, half-full isn't enough anymore. I have satisfied many of my independent woman goals and milestones, but I am hoping now to find someone to share the miles ahead with.
I will come to a relationship as an open hearted, honest woman. I am supportive, affectionate, and not afraid to take on life's challenges whether positive or negative. Some may say I have a strong personality. This isn't due to being loud and 'out there'. It has to do with confidence and abilities. This doesn't mean that deep down I am any different than any other woman - hoping and looking for her version of Robin Hood. To you, I will always play your Marion. I will always endorse the gentleman side of you, warm to the sensitive side of you, and play with the macho side of you. I hope that I can meet you as an equal partner in life. I will support you, as you will support me.
I am a strong believer in life long learning; learning is about growing and growing is all about life. I hope you have a creative hobby, are handy around the house; and if you have both a left and right foot on the dance floor, you could be developing into my Mr. Wonderful.
I will admit, it has been a long time between relationships. Given that, I have moved from active outside pursuits to more "gal"centric hobbies and social groups. I am looking for a partner to get me back into the swing of things and I am more than willing to change how I spend my leisure. Though I am not big into team sports, I'll keep you company on the couch or bleechers (well, maybe not always) while you watch whatever team your root for. I have sailed, skiied (no more black diamonds for me; cross country is more my interest now), played mixed baseball. I enjoy badminton and had some exposure to golf. Willing to take it up with a patient partner. Water time is always a good time in my book. I enjoy fishing and can bait my own hook.
I guess I am a 'burbs type of person. City too busy, country to relaxed. Do you know how a suit is supposed to fit and will you wear it just for the fun of it? I like dressing up for a special event. I am happy to camp without electricity and make do with what there is, but please do ask me to pack it in 10 kms from the nearest road. I tend to pack a lot of "what if" items if given the chance.
I appreciate a dry sense of humour with complexity. Make my smile and laugh, but talk to me; don't be afraid to voice your opinions, your interests, your emotions. Did I say emotions? By now, I hope you are mature enough to confess to having those and knowing how to express them in a conversation - or whispering sweet somethings in a woman's ear. In return, I will be open and honest. I am a toucher, if I am comfortable with you. A physical connection is as important as an emotional one, but for me, the emotional connection must come first.
If you are interested in a woman with a secure, independent streak; one who will flirt, wears feminine dresses and perfume; but owns worn out steel toed boots and a tool box, well, read some more, send me a note, the whole package is much more interesting the words on the page.

Date a soulmate from Canada. What are you grateful for? Health, family, friends. How would your closest friends describe you? Honest and kind. I enjoy life am laid back and like to laugh.
Who or what makes you smile? Children, nature, a good joke, friends and family.

Meet a woman from Cumberland, Canada. I love people who can make me laugh, who are intelligent without being arrogant. Arrogance is a huge turnoff. My friends would say I have a sarcastic sense of humor, am independent, creative, tenacious, caring and determined. Passionate about my rather expensive and obsessive hobby in photography. If I could spend all day doing it I wouldn't care if I made money from it. It makes me feel in touch with myself. I am also an artist and spend a lot of time in my studio painting.
I would love to meet someone who has a positive outlook on life, someone who enjoys cooking and sharing a good bottle of wine. I like tall men, 6 ft and over who take care of themselves. You do not have to be Brad Pitt or have abs of steel but you do need to take care of yourself.I am currently fixing up my house...grrrrrrrrrrr. The people at Lowe's I am sure roll their eyes when they see me come through the door knowing I will yet again ask a million questions. But seriously who knew that wire was bloody important....LOL Have two spastic dogs that I love but can annoy others....:)
I am not much of an outdoorsy gal, camping in a tent, you have to be kidding!!! My idea of roughing it is a cabin (with a shower) and I have to share the one plug for the coffee maker with my blow dryer. I am admittedly a bit of a klutz, but as the ER Doc told me the last time I went in with two broken toes, a cute klutz!! Nobody has invented steel toed slippers yet, but, Hmmmmmm perhaps there is a business in that.I know what I want in life and go for it and am looking for a partner in crime that feels the same.
Life is too short for games so I prefer men save those for the golf course or whatever game makes you happy. I appreciate and insist on honesty. I am not for everyone, feel free to say so. You will not hurt the last feeling I have left....kidding!!!Leave your baggage at the curb boys, not all women are the same, nor are all men the same!!!You get points for being inventive and if you make me laugh out loud on the first date, you will have my attention. You will lose points if you have ruined my Jimmy Choo heels (if that is gibberish, ask your sister...LOL) because you have decided to drag me through a field for a surprise picnic and I didn't know it was casual...:) It is the little things that count, not the grand gestures or the expensive meals. If you want to impress me, be kind, be honest, be attentive and don't be too full of yourself!!
If you are looking for that elusive Barbie doll with fake everything I am not the woman for you and you are too shallow for me. If I wink at you, it does not mean I want to marry you, it simply means "hey you are pretty handsome and I appreciate it". If you are not interested there is a button that says "NO thanks, not interested" - use it!!! If you don't, it just shows you are not the guy for me, no manners is a huge turn off. I am looking for someone that appreciates my age and the wisdom and self confidence that comes with that.
I will not respond to someone who does not have a decent photo on their profile so if you show up in my matches with a blank pic I will say no, sorry.
